I don't think I've ever seen a copy spell that didn't let you pick new targets.

Morphing Jar (1)

Artifact Creature - Construct

1/1

Morph 3

When this card is turned face-up, each player discards their hand, then draws five cards.

Morphing Jar #2 (1)

Artifact Creature - Construct

1/1

Morph 5

When this creature is turned face-up, shuffle every creature on the field into the deck. Then, each player reveals cards from the top of their deck equal to the number of creatures shuffled into their deck. All creatures with CMC 4 or less are put into play on their owner's side of the field. All other revealed cards are sent to the Graveyard.

So I've been thinking of different ways to interact with manifested cards.

Ambush Mages 3R
Creature - Efreet Wizard
U, T: You may cast target facedown instant or sorcery spell you control by paying its mana cost this turn. (After being cast, it goes to the graveyard as normal.) If you do so, return Ambush Mages to your hand.
3/2

And because I can't stop thinking about Ravnica and Tarkir coming into contact, how about mixing Manifest with Cipher or Ninjutsu? (I can't think of catchy epithets for these characters.)

Svara 4UB
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard Rogue
Svara is colorless. (Even if this card isn't on the battlefield.)
Whenever a manifested instant or sorcery card you control deals combat damage to a player, you may reveal it and cast a copy of that spell without paying its mana cost.
2/2

Karas 2UB
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard Ninja
Karas is colorless. (Even if this card isn't on the battlefield.)
UB: to return an unblocked creature to your hand and manifest the top card of your library tapped and attacking.
3/3

[up] @First one: *"you control"
@Last one: *"UB: Return target yadda yadda yadda"

I like the ninjutsu ability on him, though.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure you could cast an instant or sorcery from the battlefield and it'll go to the graveyard, so just say "cast," unless of course you mean for them to stay on the battlefield to be used again.

Also, you have the mana cost for the first card as R3 instead of 3R.

No need for the reminder text. They've updated the rules now that rather than the creature type (in this case, "Wall") determining it to be unable to attack, they created Defender instead. But there are non-Walls with defender anyway, so right now it's not exclusive to Walls.

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.

I know, but there are no walls that do not have defender (changelings and such notwithstanding) so there may be some confusion despite no rules text being necessary. It prevents incorrect readings of the card by those who aren't completely familiar with more recent rules. Also, it may have otherwise seemed as if I was going by the old rules incorrectly on here if I hadn't done that. This way, it is clear what I intended.

Yeah, as it stands anyone seeing a wall without defender might assume it's a misprint.

Ooh, I like Kuta. Do you suppose they have an evil bro... sist... er, sibling known as the "Living Deathtrap?"

I agree. The reminder text is a good idea in this case.

That would be an amazing last gasp for Protection as a mechanic. (Maro has said that they're considering getting rid of it.)

Though I can't help but imagine the white player smirking and casting Wrath of God.

May follow up with more; dunno. Came up with Animal Pragmatism first, on account of I like the pun.

Dissuade U
Instant
Counter target noncreature, nonartifact spell that doesn't target exactly one permanent. That spell's controller gains life equal to the number of permanents that spell targeted.
You may pay W instead of Dissuade's casting cost as long as you control an Island.

Inhibit B
Instant
Remove target creature from combat unless its controller pays life equal to that creature's power plus its toughness.
You may pay W instead of Inhibit's casting cost as long as you control a Swamp.

Animal Pragmatism G
Instant
Target blocked or blocking creature you control gets +4/+4 until end of turn. Sacrifice that creature at end of combat.
You may pay R instead of Animal Pragmatism's casting cost as long as you control a Forest.

EDIT:
Frank Insanity RRR
Enchantment
Whenever you cast a spell, counter that spell, draw two cards, then cast a card from your hand at random without paying its mana cost. If the chosen card is a land card, reveal it and manifest it instead.
If you don't have anything better to do, you can always try losing your damn mind.
