The Mercenary's Grenade Rifle is a pre-order bonus weapon. It's one of the items in the Courier's Stash.
With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.I know it's a pre order.
But what's the special part of it? Extra damage, velocity, radius, what?
Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane. It's the fact that you get a grenade rifle right at the beginning of the game.that makes it special, really. Between that and the Weathered 10 mm pistol, you're set. It's lighter than the generic grenade rifle and does not require an Explosives skill of 25 or more.
With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars. You get it right away, and that's its beauty. Normally you would be lucky to find a 'nade launcher in Novac or Freeside, let alone earlier.
And, like other pre-order weapons it decays very, very slowly.
Well I got Nightkin'd.

grahYou don't need 25 Explosive skill to use it, and it can be modded.
That's what I get for being late.

I like the Tumblr answers. They answer quite a bit.
Aah alright then. That IS a pretty heavy advantage if you can ration the explosives.
Nightkins are butts. The Come Fly With Me quest makes me fearful when I gotta clear the basement.
Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane.Well, if you have a Stealth Boy or two, it's fully possible to sneak past them.
Otherwise, might be easier to just kill Harland. >.>
grahI read Sawyers's answer past page too, and I like them quite a bit.
Maybe. But the ghouls have it hard enough as it is.
I just brawl the Nightkin leader and his tag team fighter; Antler in a 1 v 2 and hope I can chip them enough to win.

Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane. The first time I did that quest, I had no idea what Nightkin were. I was picturing something considerably more gribbly than dark super mutants.
Still, I was less than enthusiastic about poking around in that basement.
With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars. The first time I did Come Fly with Me, I somehow ended up solving everything peacefully. Possibly because I was terrified out of my mind to actually kill any of the Nightkin. The second time was a bit harder because I had Boone as a companion and the guy likes to kill everything.
"You told me it would be exciting, didn't you?"You can solve the Nightkin problem peacefully?
Yup. You can convince the nightkin leader that there are no stealth boys in the facility. But you do have to bring him a invoice. Which Harland is guarding
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youYou have to reach the Nightkin Jailer and kill him to find Harland's friend, then notify him of her fate. He'll leave the room and let you snoop around peacefully(mind the traps), then you can bring the invoice to Davison.
grahThere's also the condition that you can't kill too many Nightkin, or else the leader's gonna be hostile the moment he sees you. Harland is easy enough to talk down; it's usually getting to the leader without accidentally murdering all of the other Nightkin that's the challenge.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. He never did tell us about the pretty Ghoulettes...
Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane.Another benefit of the pre-order weapons: you get them in full condition state, rather than the 10% health remaining you'll typically find most weapons on the ground in.
Aside: There's a pro-pipe in the crazy survivalist house in Nipton. The one with the cage of scorpions and more traps than rooms.
Is Searchlight worth the rad-aways it takes to explore?
Also, After I got the whatever perk it is that lets you pretty much haul around as much medicine as you like, I stopped carrying radiation suits. Not worth the twenty pounds weight when you can take Rad-X, baby.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThere's supposed to be a unique weapon in there somewhere. Never could bother to go looking for it.
You know what I need? A New Vegas mod for Mount and Blade Warband. Center the map on the Mojave but expand it to include the homelands of the other factions. Start out with the NV story, and don't stop the game there. I think it could work, and there's literally nothing in Fallout that hasn't had an equivalent in some mod or other from Warband or Mount and Blade original.
There's explosives in some of the mods. Not as big as nukes, but I don't think it'd be that big an issue to make them work. Radiation healing ghouls and killing everyone else has been done with the White Bolt in Phantasy Calradia. Story mode's been done in two of the DLC already, including multiple stories to choose from.
It really could work, and it'd be a neat combination of 4X and RPG.
There's a unique axe called Knock Knock in Searchlight. You'll find it in the course of doing the quest for that town. You need to head to the basement of the church IIRC to find the quest giver. If you're doing a melee build, it's one of the best weapons for that combat style. I also once did a 'working man' playthrough where I used only tools for weapons (axes, bats, chainsaws, etc) and that became one of my go-to weapons.
How does all the weapon repair/condition stuff work. I get the basics of what it does but I'm not sure how repairing and stuff goes.
Noob questions everyday.
No idea of what is going on.Let's use something simple like the Assault rifle. if you have 2 of those they're both in less than 100% condition, you go to the one you want to repair and hit triangle. as long as your repair skill is high enough, you can repair it using parts from the other rifle. this gets done automatically. after you hit triangle to repair it'll show you what you can use to repair your weapon. you select the one you want and hit X.
but just know that the higher the condition of your weapon, the higher your repair skill has to be to repair it. if the "Repair" option is greyed out then either your repair skill isn't high enough to repair that weapon or its condition doesn't require it to be repaired.
Then I'm going back for that thing. I dropped it... somewhere.
Anyways, what're the unique aspects about it again?
I also got A World Of Pain installed, so I guess Sneaky Bomber is a thing now after getting two shotted by Viper Elites on the beginners path.
