Yoko was trying her best not to laugh at Ishikawa's comment (Who says she doesn't have a sense of humour?). Laughter would tip Tanaka off that he'd been insulted, and she frankly didn't trust him not to hit the odd grey-haired girl.

Yoko didn't approve of hitting unarmed people.

Kiaku asked them, "Would you mind telling me what is so funny?" To them, he must have looked like quite the enigma. A White Haired Man, though, would almost certainly spell out certain things to the Genre Savvy, things that Kiaku needed them to anticipate so he could anticipate those actions they would certainly make in order to fit them into his plans.

Jiro started to catch on to what had been said. Not the precise meaning, of course, but he had guessed it was an insult.

If Koari had an expression, it would've been one of expectation. She was awaiting Jiro's answer, "Do you require explanation?"

Akio stared at the girl who had stepped in front of him, frankly too confused to say anything. Hanako had paused for a minute, but was now trying to make her way to Koari as fast as she could.

Jiro readied a punch.

Koari looked at the large student's fist, indifferent. That is odd, was her thoughts on the events.

Hanako was about to pull Koari out of the way, and Akio was attempting the same thing, when Jiro threw his punch.

His fist struck Koari in the chest. Koari showed her first hint of expression the entire day. Her eyes widened ever so slightly, and then abruptly shut as she started to fall. Her head tilted forward as she slammed into Akio's chest, her small, skinny form sending him into the desk.

Akio stumbled back when the girl fell into him. Why hadn't she moved? he thought, bracing himself against the desk to try and stop Koari from falling further.

Pain... thought Koari. She let out a small noise, a suprisingly monotone one for a cry of pain, and opened her eyes again, looking up at the huge boy. Her face, surpsingly, displayed a tiny amount of expression. If you were looking for it, you could detect pain, confusion, and a little anger. But you'd have to look for it. It was nearly impossible to tell otherwise.

Kiaku walked over to see what was going on and he said, "Well, it appears that some sort of altercation has occurred here. Well, I suppose you two were asking for it, trying to play intellectual games with poor Jiro. Must I deal with you two personally?" To anyone in Kiaku's cult, including Jiro, that meant that Kiaku was going to cut loose a little.

Shizuka stepped up, putting herself in front of Koari and Akio and facing Jiro, she gave a side glance to the girl she just helped up and said "Arisu-san, please go look for the nurse and a teacher, fast!"

After that she just glared at the bully, acting as an obstacle between him and the girl he just punched.

As Gendai-san left, Yoko became distantly aware that her hands hurt.

She looked down, and realized she was gripping her seat so hard one of her knuckles had split open. With her uninjured hand she reached into her pocket for her handkerchief and dabbed gently at the wound.

Akio helped Koari up, while getting up himself. What was she thinking? he thought. What made her think that was a good idea?

"Are you alright?" he asked. That punch had hit hard. He'd heard it strike Koari in the chest.

"I am fine," was Koari's only reponse. She stood up.

"That reaction was highly irrational," she said, once again adressing Jiro. She could still feel the pain in her chest.

Hanako grabbed her and pulled her away. Akio stood behind Kawaoto Shizuka, then stepped to the side, to stand next to her. Hopefully, two targets would make it take too long for Jiro to decide who to hit.

Koari looked at Hanako, then at Akio.

"He struck me without provocation," her monotone was seeming more and more out of place. "I had merely asked a question. I am not sure why the current reaction is taking place, but I am not sure why I was struck."

Arisu nodded. Only a month into fall term and already someone's got themself injured... hope it doesn't get any worse. She turned and ran down the hall, headed for the infirmary and hoping she'd find another teacher in the meantime.

Keiko Nakajima, the school's librarian, was walking down the hall when the tall lolita girl rushed past her.

"Excuse me?" she asked. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

Arisu stopped and shook her head. "There's a fight in Kobayashi-sensei's room. I need to get the nurse."

Keiko's eyes narrowed. This was her first year teaching, and she was in no mood to let something like this happen right now.

"Go get the nurse." she said. "I'll deal with the fight."

[OOC: Someone else play the nurse please?]

(OOC: I'm willing to play the nurse.)

Nurse Takahashi was fairly pleased with how things had been going so far this school year. She hadn't really gotten much work, and when you were a school nurse, that was a good thing. It meant that less students were getting hurt or sick.

She hoped the lack of injuries and ailments continued for at least a little while longer.

Kiaku sighed, "I suppose I did not witness this wrongdoing. However, you are making a ruckus, which probably overexcited Jiro. Now, why don't all of you concentrate on class and leave issues such as these to other members of the Path of Inspiration? Alright?"

Kiaku became rather stoic and said, "Well, I might be wrong, but I was not really paying attention to this meaningless event, so, why don't we all just go on our own business..." He had to improvise a few times, but it looked like he would be able to draw them in after all.

"Leave him. He's not worth it and big guy here is getting a suspention at the least" Shizuka said to Hanako. If they where going to let the teachers handle this it was better if all the violence came from the perpetrator. Otherwise they might fall into the trap of everyone is guilty and nothing would be done.

Shizuka had acted brashly but just now she was realizing how close she had been to danger. The guitarist wouldn't let Jiro get another hit on Koari but that didn't mean she wasn't scared and realived that things didn't turn even uglier.

Just then, the door swung open, and Tomoe's librarian strolled in.

"A figure of authority," said Koari, her monontone in full force. "Perhaps you can explain why Tanaka Jiro has struck me. I am still attempting to discern why."

Going by how disastrous this was going, there was little other way to drive them into the trap than to show his trump card. He turned to the librarian and said, "There is nothing to really see here...ignore these people."

"There's lots to see here. Jiro just made Gandai-san trip and if that wasn't enough he punched Ishikawa in the chest" Shizuka said to the librarian.

She wanted to add a the bastard to the end of her sentence but being in front of a teacher activated that little part of her common sense that said it was better to drop the insults.

I heard we had a cult in this school. And I thought they where joking... this creep backing up a bully sure wasn't what I thought I would find here

Being a jerk only to lead them into the web of my plans...its still distasteful. Kiaku thought, and began contemplating what to do to turn this situation to his advantage. He could petrify the librarian, or he could just go along with it. Yet...Jiro was a part of the Path, so he deserved a measure of protection in exchange for his continued service.

... ninety-nine, one hundred.

Yoko took a deep breath, and raised her hand. "Nakajima-sensei," she said, proud that her voice had yet to shake, "I am sorry to impose myself into a situation between others, but as someone uninvolved in the dispute I can corroborate what Kawaoto-san has just told you."

"Please do, Sato-san," replied Nakajima-sensei, calmly. "I'd like to get to the bottom of this quickly."

Akio was relieved a teacher had come. He wasn't sure how much longer he'd have been able to hold Hanako back. And who knows what Jiro would've done if he'd been allowed to. The librarian's arrival had been perfectly timed.

Koari looked at the librarian. She spent a lot of her free time in the library, and was familer with Nakajima-sensei. Not that she knew her; she didn't, but she had seen her numerous times.

Yoko related the events of the past few minutes as best she could; Kobayashi-sensei stepping out to go to the nurse's office, Tanaka tripping Gendai, the others demanding that he apologize...

If she left out the part where Ishikawa had insulted him, well... it had all happened so fast. She couldn't be expected to remember every detail.

Sitting inside the Library was Maki Neko. She was doing the usual thing she did in the Library. Write Z/David Magus yaoi fiction.

"But Sarah I love you more than love itself, But I love David more. Please forgive me Madame Blueskies," said Maki saying each word she wrote down.

She spotted the Librarian and drooled. "God I love her so damn much," thought Maki she then went back to writing her fiction hoping that just for once someone would talk to her. She hated being a loner. It seemed that the only time someone took notice was when they needed a piece of equipment fixed.

" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
