Beat: She read the note.

Beat: Gather the crew 'Nix. I've figured something out.

Perhaps using astericks to note actions, because it looks like your character is monologueing.

"Aye." He began to look for Hilarity, Raidou, and Xavier, grudgeningly looking for Ajax.

Raidou:-Arrives and waits for what's happening-

Hilarity arrives.

"What's going on?"

Beat: Xavier slipped off as well as Ajay.... But we do need everyone.

"Just need those two. Xavier is a slippery one, isn't he?"

Beat: Yeah. A wnake but a garter snake. But the other one…

She didn't let herself finish the sentence. Ajay was likely to hear her.

"More like a flaming snake, but yes, agreed."

Beat: So…. Anything new with you guys?

No point just standing here.

Raidou: ...Sorry, no. Just been reading...catching up on ol' memories an' all. So...what's the big news?

Beat: We're finally doing actual piracy.

Ajay: I heard there was a crew meeting? Now that I've cleared a path...this plan will go smoothly.

"Heh. Took us long enough, right?" Of course you heard. I was looking for you, after all, heh. "There you are. Now we just need Xavier."

Ajay: *starts playing some music to pass the time until Xavier gets there and the meeting actually starts*

Beat: I mean if I were to take bets on the odds of survival of this. Xavier's would be lowest.

"True."

Ajay: *plays a tune that represents failure before starting, of a man walking to his doom, but it only is as such to those that know music*

Beat: Hilarity what skills can you contribute to this raid?

She needed to know if she had a skill gap without Xavier.

"Well, I'm not too bad with a sword, and I'm rather quick."

Beat: How are you at stealth?

She was going to guess "Not very" considering he was an entertainer.

Beat: I also have to wonder Hilarity. Why are you doing this? And I could ask this of Aj too?

Of course she didn't trust the latter as far as she could throw him.
