The music is the one thing I can always always always count on Sonic to get right. Even the crappy games have amazing soundtracks.
I love me some good ol' Sonic music.

I love what Sonic Shorts did with Crank the Heat Up!! From Sonic Adventure.
I love a lot of the music from the old (16-bit) Sonic games. And this is one of the best tunes.
My personal favorite Sonic song. DAT CELLO
When I heard that the same composers who worked on Unleashed's OST were working on Colors, I JIZZED. IN. MY. PANTS.
The (two) final boss themes in Sonic 3 & Knuckle are pretty kickin' too.
^^ Seriously! YES!!!
Sonic music is one of those universal constant things. Yeah, it's often cheesy, but it's just so fun! I blast it in my car on the way to college every morning; it wakes me up very quickly.
I love you. 8D
I love Sonic the Hedgehog's music. It's all great!
Never be without a Hat! Hot means heat. I don't care if your usage dates to 1300, it's my word, not yours. My Pm box is open.I have noticed a distinct lack of an infamously memetic and glorious Ear Worm. This needs to be rectified.
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and list my favorite tracks from each game.
First off, the main series:
- Sonic 1 - Starlight Zone, by far.
- Sonic 2 - not sure, actually.
- Sonic 3 - Ice Cap Zone. (No shit, sherlock.)
- Sonic & Knuckles - Flying Battery Act 1, or Lava Reef Act 1.
- Sonic CD
- Japan/Europe: probably Quartz Quadrant (Good Future).
- North America (my prefered soundtrack): Stardust Speedway (Good Future).
- Sonic Adventure - either Twinkle Park, Lost World, or Gamma's theme.
- Sonic Adventure 2 - That's the Way I Like It.
- Sonic Heroes - Special Stage - Bonus Challenge, or maybe Ocean Palace.
- Sonic '06 - Wave Ocean - The Inlet, or Kingdom Valley.
- Sonic Unleashed - Where the hell do I start? *

Labyrinth Zone was always a favorite of mine. (The music, not so much the level itself). Doesn't seem to get a lot of love, though.
No love? What about Oil Ocean Zone? D:
Labyrinth Zone's music was constantly interrupted by the awesome drowning music.
No matter how bad the games get, the music is almost always awesome. It probably has the most songs I like out of any game franchise. From the 8-16 bit, the adventure cheese rock, the funkiness of the Rush games, the classical-modern fusion of Unleashed gah it's all amazing. I love how they try out new styles for every game and manage to make it work. It really does add soul to the games you know? Even when the body itself is rotten lol.
