TLP workstation thread

You already have quite a few examples, so feel free to post on the TLP when you have a description and enough write-ups.

Not the place for this; seems like you already reported it on the crash rescue thread in Long-Term.

Question: is it true that there's currently a ban on creating new Expy tropes? I'm asking because this TLP proposal has been announced as launching on the 24th. It's a proposed trope for Evel Knievel knockoffs, which may (or may not) qualify as an example. I posted asking that question in the comments, but there's been no response.

IDK if it's a ban or a discouragement, but Fountain of Expies get a lot of discussion here.

So a troper brought up an interesting question in my Lady Vessel draft, on what the scope of the trope is. Does it cover anytime a vessel is mentioned using female pronouns, or only if the vessel has a typically female name? Or something in between?

I came here to try a poll more opinions, since I could see a problem with chairs if we don't clarify the scope.

I think you might want to consider Companion Cube or Setting as a Character for other tropes about characterising non-persons. (I'd add Anthropomorphic Personification but that trope is narrower than its name.)
