I can only assume this is non-canon but awesome nonetheless. This is a good time to look up the Professor Layton trilogy.

This is... pretty cool. I never got into Prof. Layton for some reason, but I think I'd like the games if I got around to it. And yeah, of course something's going to happen with Maya. Something always happens with Maya.

I hope we finally get some voice acting other than the voice clips. Does the 3DS have the data to support it and the gorgeous graphics.

Also was Maya eating burgers in that trailer? That must br confusing to the Japanese fans.

I've seen animated cutscenes with full voiceacting on the DS. So if the cartridges have seen some significant improvement since the DS days, then a game with full voiceacting isn't impossible.

That is not the price. In case you hadn't heard, only the Japan price was announced, and that was just the yen conversion, which is inflated due to the strong yen compared to the dollar.

That's what the AA games has always been missing for me. The drama works better with voice.

I'm assuming that the 3DS's more advanced hardware (?) would be able to handle such a thing.

We may run into problems with Suddenly Voiced, though, and you just know that there will be blowback over the quality of the voice actors whether or not they're good. Still, a voice-acted Phoenix is something I've wanted for a very long time.

...And for the last time, there's a minuscule chance that the 3DS is actually going to be $300, stop saying it like it's confirmed.

Suddenly Voiced is only awkward if the character never speaks. I don't know which game you're playing but Phoenix isn't a Heroic Mime.

Ace Attorney characters have voice in trailers, so...

Ah, I thought that trope was for when an old character gets a voice actor whether or not they had spoken lines. My apologies.

On that note, who would you want to play Phoenix? (And Layton too, I guess...unless he is voiced...dammit I need to play these games.)

Any idea about the plot? From what I see its in Profeesir Layton's world. But there has to be some courts for Phoenix to do something.

This has some details.

Witch trials? The odds of something bad happening to Maya have dramatically increases. But it's not like Phoenix can honestly say "No she didn't summon her sister's ghost.". Tricky.
