...I really do have a vague hope that Mycroft had never actually been to the dentist, rather than that actually being the worst portrayal of someone who gotten a root canal ever.
Fantastic Weapon Generator!I don't recall anything about Mycroft having been to the dentist.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThe Great Game - Sherlock says Mycroft never texts when he can speak, and from that deduces that he didn't go to his scheduled dentist appointment. Later on, we see him massaging his cheek while talking to John.
Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon... If they are casting Lu as Watson, I want hmm.. Lawless? Jamie Murray? for Sherlock. Its not a proper Sherlock unless the homoerotic tension sizzles.
...Nope. They already casted Johnny Lee Miller, of Danny Boyle's Frankenstein' fame.

Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon.At least a gender flipped Sherlock and Watson would bring something new to the table
Looks like they are going to use New York City for the setting of Elementary.
which is a disappointingly predictable choice for location, but as it's one of American's oldest and largest citys it's seems the most logical choice for a stand in for london.
Still would of gone for Boston myself.
Oh and there's is no mention of joan Watson being in the army D:<
hashtagsarestupidSomeone on livejournal suggested Eva Green as Holmes and Lucy Liu as Watson, and now I really really want to see that.
Hmm, we should move the Elementary stuff into it's own separate thread, shouldn't we?
The pilot hasn't be filmed yet so it might be premature.
hashtagsarestupidI think it's perfectly valid to create a thread for a show that hasn't released yet. Western Animation has an Avatar: The Legend of Korra thread.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI just finished watching The Hounds of Baskerville, but I don't get the ending. Does anyone know what happened?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Playthe murder did it =P

hashtagsarestupidIf you're talking about what happemed with Mycroft and Moriarty, that's clarified in The Reichenbach Fall.

Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon.I'm really excited about Lucy Liu — I don't know if anyone's seen it, but she's been tearing it up this season on Southland. If she keeps being that good, she could be really watchable. As long as she keeps her hands off Johnny Lee Miller. *thud*
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. So, 2013 filming for Series 3.

To be expected, I suppose but that's SOOO FAR AWAY.
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."I don't think female Watson could have been a soldier, since they don't allow females on the front line in America. (Feel free to correct me if I'm hopelessly wrong)

"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."They don't? I'm fairly sure that most Western countries allow women to serve in the amred forces now.
Well, see, there's your problem. USA is only to the west up until a certain point. </pedantic>
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Watson was an army Doctor, remember. Not front-line infantry.
It's not over. Not yet.Live thread!.... live!
I don't suppose anyone has any good fanfic to tide me over next season 3?
hashtagsarestupidSherlock Fanfic Recs should be a good place to start - have read a few, and those were not bad.

Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon.
If Joan Watson's character is otherwise faithful to the original it could be a fairly interesting take on him. At least it's a positive depiction of women in the armed forces if nothing else.
