@Yakuzu: yeah. Unlimited Mu is in pure touhou mode. And in that particular fight whenever she activates her overdrive you can't hurt her. A problem I kept having is that whenever I did get her corner she would activate her close range DD during my attack and it would counter me nearly every time.

Looking at the character sheet and what's this nonsense about Naoto having a thing for his cousin? That's really lame and it takes away from Naoto's character.

Did you already forget? It all leads back to incest. It is also mutual to a degree.

According to the BB wiki, its another character who's attracted to his cousin, some guy named Shinnosuke. Naoto just lives in the same Apartment building with her.

...however reading the cousin's wiki page seems to allude that she might have feelings to Naoto...oh boy.

And cousin relationships ain't even incestuous in Japan. And he does reciprocate the feelings too.

The bigger problem, tho, is how Haruka (his cousin) is almost never important to the plot unlike Raquel.

I thought about this a long time ago, it's pretty funny to think how we'd all be like if the stories of Blaz Blue and Greek mythology swapped places.

Yeah, she's like two death deities in one.

Although, I think she takes most of her inspiration from Izanami, if not all.

Isn't Hades just her translated name? IIRC she's called Meiou (Underworld king, I think? So Hades-esque) Izanami in Japanese.

Hades Izanami is a pretty kickass name.

Her title in Japanese is Meiou, which roughly translates to "Death God" or "Dark Lord".

I'm torn on the Hades title because yea, its essentially two names.

I thought the marrying cousins in japan was just a stereotype and that while it's legal it's not exactly normal or looked on fondly.

It's just difficult for me to like a dude that wants to screw his cousin. Sometimes I wonder if Mori suffered from a screwy childhood or something.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but I believe cousins its generally not as enforced or looked down since its a more distant relationship. But that's just me assuming.

According to the trope I linked above, the taboo of cousin relationships varies greatly from place to place. Legal in many places in the US, but mainly a societal taboo. While in other places its not even so much as an afterthought.
