Court Bards are usually in service to noble families and Queens and are the "high literature" to a glee man's "science fiction/fantasy genre"

Is Gleeman some kind of official designation? Do you need to go somewhere in order to officially become one? (you apparently need a coat like Thom had)

Rand has just had his first channeling in Four Kings.

I figured it was either that, or the group just has insultingly good luck (I honestly could've believed either, truth be told) XD

but then he got the Channeling sickness (or whatever it's called) a little later

It's a terrible illness. Symptoms include: Never dying for long stretches no matter how ridiculously dangerous the situation you're in is, being born better than everyone else or through the power of maguffins BECOME better than everyone else, having morality bend itself around you to make sure that you're always right, and INCREDIBLY good luck (at least in the early stages)

It's not even that I find him annoying (Rand I find annoying on occasion)

I just... don't like him. He's the only character (the other being Moiraine) who hasn't managed to grow on me

Yeah Mat's like...super lame in the first couple of books, it's around Dragon Reborn that he skirts into being awesome, a process which climaxes in Crown Of Swords only to crash and burn in Gathering Storm because Brandon Sanderson is talentless hack.

Hmmmm, isn't it marvelous that you've gotten me into a series that I apparently won't be able to finish

Oh, no it's not shit. I'm hyperboling because I HATE BRANDON SANDERSON SO FREAKIN' MUCH, mostly because I hate his writing a style and the man as a person.

The series is fine, and even so most of it is still written by Robert Jordan, Sanderson's job was to fill in the gapes and....it's a very YMMV situation how you feel about his ability to do so.

Cause he's sickeningly muscular and has a beard?

Sides' I like the Ugly Guy, Hot Wife aspect between him and Faile

And Brandon Sanderson is a homophobic jackass that used his site as a soapbox against gay marriage, then got chewed out by his publicist and had to post and adamant to his previous view that is slightly less bigoted.

And he writes with all the emotion and passion of drying paint. No, that's actually an insult to drying paint. (My opinion)
