"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelRead Wodehouse. Everything he writes is made out of sunshine and silliness, and it's beautiful.
Wo T isn't a happy series, but it's an enjoyable one. If you really want to be spoiled: Yes, Rand does go somewhat mad. He recovers, and Nynaeve discovers a cure for the rest of the male channelers.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajMy problem isn't that. It's that I don't like the hero's being awesome. I prefer the villains being awesome... but I also don't want them to win.
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelWell, while nothing has been decided at this point, there is a strong general theme in this series of the forces of good triumphing over evil. That's as specific as I can get without spoilers, I'm afraid.

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!@Lem But as I said. I don't like the heroes being excessively powerful and awesome. I'd rather the villains be awesome and competent
I don't even think the villains in this series were given any CMO As
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelAgain, not going into specifics. I will say the series are very well written, and that it at several points will coincide with your preferences.

Rand is extremely strong in the power, but that strength develops over time, and by the time he becomes that strong it's extremely late in the game.
Who is spoiling you on the series? I need to have words with them.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"The character page (not even spoilered either)
mayhaps you should go through and change that page?
Now on page 122. Rand is RIGHT in the middle of tripping balls
Ah, so he's that strong now... and not even anyone to oppose him -_-

I advise staying away from the character page at all costs. There is a TON of unspoilled shit on there.
And yeah, no. Rand has a lot of POTENTIAL power but it takes a long time for him to develop it. Same with every other channeler.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"What colour branch is Moiraine from?

Moiraine is Blue Ajah.
There whole shtick is seeking out causes and adventures to champion, the dedicate their time to bettering the world and doing good. In practice this usually means politics and scheming for a good cause.

"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"are there certain colours that are prone to having lots of assholes in their ranks?

Reds tend to have more jerks in their ranks, but that's largely since there purpose has basically devolved into "KILL ALL THE MEN!", and there are also a lot of awesome Reds, but we don't meet them till latter.
The Reds seem like a very wasted sector. What do they do when there aren't any Male Channelers to capture?
and couldn't the greens do their job too?
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
Most Reds just chill at the tower when not hunting men.
And a Greens have sort of the opposite philosophy re: Men that Reds do. There the only Ajah that allows the bonding of more then one Warder and/or marriage to ones warder. :P

"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"There are always male channelers to capture. That being said, the number of such has been dropping until recent rush of false dragons. In theory, the greens could take over that task, but finding male channelers does require some amount of subtlety that just doesn't go as well with an organization focused on lighting shadowspawn on fire.
Edit: Also that bit about men. Greens like having trustworthy buff men around so that they don't get overwhelmed while fighting squads of trollocs.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.Also, how do channelers fight indoors without destroying the roof? All the magic I've seen them use seems to stem from summoning stuff from the sky
So the Reds are... smart?

Yup, most Aes Sedai are, and those that don't do an awesome job of faking it.
And most channlers are essentially walks weapon of mass destruction. It's why Aes Sedai take an oath not to use the power as a weapon.
