But I'm SUCH a slow reader
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
You're a fine reader ginger :P, your making faster progress through ASOIAF then I did.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"I think I'll read in alternating days. TWOT one day and ASOIAF the next
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelShould be finished with AFFC tomorrow which means I can finally start The Great Hunt.
Whoo!
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.@L Mage: All speculation is answered by RAFO. Except Taimedrad, which was answered by "nope, I troll you" or words to that effect.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajThat is a lot of characters to keep straight. Good luck dude.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Yeah, and I'm terrible... TERRIBLE at remembering names
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelAnd TWOT isn't particularly forgiving in that regard, given that there are reams and reams of characters, of varying degrees of importance. Given the length of time between some installments, I've frequently had to go back and reread the whole series when a new book came out, just so I could remind myself who everyone was. Before Sanderson took over I'd completely forgotten Noal, much less who he REALLY was...
I remember when I filled out some school book report thingie using one of the later WOT books. There was a prompt for listing the main characters. I genuinely thought about it, and listed about twenty names. From memory.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!Just fan-fucking-tastic. As if I didn't hate myself enough
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel@Gigner
Relax, if you forget anyone just ask me
I've read these books so many time I can rattle off pretty much EVERYONE off of memory.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"'kay. Started The Great Hunt. Only read the prologue so far.
So question... Which book is generally considered the best?
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.@Chris
It varies wildly from fan to fan, though it's generally agreed that Crossroads Of Twilight is the weak point.
For me it's a three way tie between Lord Of Chaos, Crown Of Swords, and recently The Gathering Storm
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Crown of Swords? Really? Isn't that the part in the series where it really went downhill in terms of quality before redeeming itself with The Gathering Storm?

Sony fan here.
A Crown Of Swords has some of Mat's most awesome moments as well as generally amazing storytelling and character development.
Path Of Daggers is where things started to slide a bit.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Sigh, I hate being such a slow reader with this series. I'll be here for fucking EVER. I'm only on page 36-ish

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelA Shadow Rising and The Fires of Heaven are often considered high points. To be honest, they all kind of blur together in my head.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - Bocaj@Ginger
Pass the time with this :P
Also why are Japan's covers so awesome? (Minor spoilers)

My, I'm Blue to the Core.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"If you ask me, the Japanese covers look pretty shitty. And isn't Rand's hair blond with a reddish tint? Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long time since I've read the books.
Sony fan here.@Stev
Your thinking of Elyane, Rand's hair is dark red.
And compared to the American print covers...

"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Ah, alright.
As for the book art, the American versions are superior in this case. I mean, normally I wouldn't type this, but there you go.
Sony fan here.Have you seen the ebook covers? They are superb.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - Bocaj
I forget how many questions did he answer with that? :P
