I hope there's some context I'm missing, because as it stands it looks really fucking stupid. The post even says they lived and worked in Japan, for Christ's sake.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Just so everyone here knows, I recently decided to delete my Tumblr. Nothing against the site, just found I wasn't enjoying my time on there. Things tend to get way to heated for me and the constant arguing (and I'm more angry towards the anti-feminists/"Anti-SJWS" for this than anyone else.) just caused me more emotional issues and trouble then the content I liked was worth. Still will follow a few blogs while not logged in just to keep in track with things, but just in case anyone was wondering what happened to my account.
Couldn't you, y'know, just not go on the site rather than deleting your account?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.If Makeye's sure they'll never be back, why leave a trace? It's tidier to clean up after yourself.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWhat, is there illegal stuff on there? Why wipe it clean otherwise? No one's gonna bother to dig it up.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I mean it could just be due to practicality. A dead account can garner asks or leave people worried. A deleted account is a clear message. Not dead, just not interested in tumblr.
Read my stories!Yeah, but asks can be ignored (I assume) and I'd imagine the account being deleted would raise further concerns than abandonment.

So did any one else see all the Tumblr drama between the Stephen Universe fandom and the Bronies?
Apparently a couple of bronies wanted to make an Equestria Daily style site for S.U and the Tumblr side of the fandom threw a fit because.... honestly I'm not entirely clear on that. I thought the whole 'Bronies are evil' thing had died out.
The gist of it, from my understanding, is that Bronies wanted to coin a term for themselves becoming Steven Unvierse Fans (Gemtelmen) but Universe fans didn't want Bronies importing their extra backage (all the NSFW fanart.)
For what it's worth, I found that Matt Burnett made the best point in all of this "controversy." Nobody should play vanguard over who gets in a fandom, but isolating a special segment of the fandom (Gemtlemen or even Brony) is pretty stupid.
Yeah I mean EQD also has a bit of a negative rep due to their bias, but that died down once someone came out saying the creator of EQD would not be involved, and they would try and avoid the mistakes of their counterpart.
Also I think the main thing was they didn't want fans to label themselves "gemtleman" and just label themselves as "su fans" or in general the title that all fans hold, and I have to agree, due to the fact that it would cause needless masculinizing (there's this thing called the gender transgression zone which is a term in academia that describes how boys will take girly things, make it manly, such as hand games, and thus acceptable for consumption by said boys. The problem with this is that...well it means that stuff is only acceptable for boys to watch/enjoy if it fits certain standards.)
Read my stories!Actually no. Bronies didn't come up with that 'gemtleman' name. That was the S.U fans who don't like the vronies mocking bronies by saying that's what they would do... and now people think they are so I suppose that says something about how the Internet hive mind works . And as for NSFW fan art, that's been way over blown. All the brony sites tag any NSFW stuff, there's the safe search wrap up and frankly there's just not as much of it as people claim there is.
Pfft, like the SU fandom needs any help from the bronies to make huge amounts of porn.

Read my stories!Unfortunately, there's also been talk of some bronies who are starting to call themselves "gemtlemen" out of spite, which is... not helping, to say the least.
Chaotic drama? On Tumblr?
It's more likely than you think!

To be fair Zenn it's hard to blame them. They were trying to do something nice for another fandom and in turn ended up gating called gross sexist racist..... again.
Hard to jot be a little snippy.
That whole "Gemtleman" thing just sounds dumb cause, it's like, you can be a fan of something without coming up with a "cutesy" nickname for it. Just call yourself a fan of it. All "Gemtleman" would do would be to cause women to feel less comfortable in what should be a safe fandom and risk causing another brony situation where a show meant for a young fanbase is completely overtaken by a mostly adult fanbase with all the potential issues that implies.
Also, as for why I deleted rather than abandoned, I don't really have a reason. I dunno, just felt more like... "closure", if that makes any sorta sense. I only had 2 followers (both from here(Zennistrad and Tre)) anyways, and like, 3 posts that I actually made myself, so nothing was lost, really.
I dunno, I just think that if people are mad at you because you might do something, then going out and actually doing it out of spite is the least helpful thing you can do. People should try to prove the haters wrong, not prove them right.
As I already mentioned the 'gemtleman' thing was not a bony idea it was something made up to mock bronies even before they had done anything. And I haven't even seen anyone talking about adopting the label out of spite or other wise.
Evidence? I honestly have no clue.
Me, I just wish that everyone would get along in peace and harmony, and that we could work out our debates about cartoons in a sensible, adult fashion. But I suppose it's a little late for that.
I will say, however, that I don't think something that's coded as "girly" or "feminine" is anything for guys to be concerned about. On the contrary, I think it's something to be embraced. So what if it's girly? What does that matter, as long as the content is good?
Oh God! Natural light! There's a dream.

I apologize for my lack of clarity also. I didn't thought that was what you intended to argue, but I see far too many arguments to morph into attacking an opinion that wasn't actually sponsored by anyone involved. I feared that, even if it wasn't your intention, someone else might have come in and argue as if it was and derail the conversation. Again, sorry for that.
Cool.
