Accelerator 5 is up. Accelerator's injury acts up—good. I was waiting for him to stop solving all the problems himself. And then a Misaka shows up. I kinda hope it's not 10032. Some of the others need more screentime. There are three more in Academy City; it should be one of them.

Good that Mi-chan cares. Though I'm not really sure what she thought she was doing here.

mmm.would be nice to see some Espers based on other things than Physics.granted,stuff like Biology and Chemistry are basically Physics of stuff,but an Esper with Lovecraftian Superpower would be cool.

Seconded. Although physics based abilities will always be more powerful.

i guess Tsuchimikado could count as biology?healing and all.rather decent healing too for level 0.

A biology based power would be completely broken for single combat depending on how it worked. I could see a level 5 looking at someone and causing all their cell walls to rupture, reducing them to a pile of goo.

Sure, but people dodge lightning and laser beams in this series. Somehow. I was thinking that somehow Mr Melty would have no travel time (somehow) on his ability, or the attack would be invisible. Or maybe Mr Melty would also have the power to repair and regenerate cells along with his goopower.

Misaki seems like the only high level esper with powers used to directly affect another human being rather than any object and she has those same kind of instant unresistable abilities.

Sorry for the double post, but spoilers are finally beginning to seep in for NT 10. It's not unexpected, but Good Lord, that's a lot of death flags. Specifically, the volume apparently opens with Touma's motivation for helping Othinus:

'He has no illusions about the crimes that she has committed, but he believes that she is nonetheless entitled to a fair trial. Even if she is sentenced to long-term imprisonment, he promises to visit her even once both of them are old and wrinkled. Until she is released so that both of them can walk out into the sun.'

“He said acting out in your youth is fine, but this winter is too cold so we should stick to car sex if we want to let loose outdoors.”

The funny part wasn't that, it was a random dude off the street telling a random teenager to go bone an underaged girl in his car. Where the hell are they that people say things like that?

Well,they're close to THAT part of Europe?

Maybe she was just indignant that a lowly human would say something like that to her?

I'm just curious about who sent out a message to all the Level 5's asking them to kill Othinus/Touma, and what exactly they expected to gain from it. Unless there's some serious Batman Gambit-level shit going on here.

That's a thing? That's stupid. At least four of them would say 'Screw you, I'm protecting him' while Mugino might or might not follow orders. Apparently Kakine is still alive or something and number 6 is still out there or something but uh yeah who would give an order like that and expect it to be obeyed?

Blah, I really do need to read the NT novels so I can call them stupid from a more informed viewpoint.

It's totally a thing, and the initial reactions of all of them are pretty much exactly what you said. Again, I have no idea what anybody thought they would be gaining out of that.
