Funny, ep10 is the one I left off on. As far as I recall, Sawako just randomly appears in the woods at the training camp to scare Mio (despite not being invited) and doesn't have any other involvement.

Edit: Oops, you meant ep10 of season 2, not season 1. I guess I'll see when I get there.

I recently finished season 1, and I was a bit puzzled by the episode order. We have ep12, which seems like a fitting conclusion to the story arc, then we have ep13, an unusual slice of life episode, and then ep14, which apparently never aired on TV. (Luckily it is on Netflix, where I'm watching it). TV viewers must have been very confused, since season 1 didn't have a traditional ending without the OAV.

It's also a shame the season 2 opener isn't as good. So far, Kagayake Girls is the only one of the credit songs I've actually enjoyed.

So I would like to take a moment to talk about what people might take away from the show as a whole.

Me, I've always seen it as a light-hearted, funny slice-of-life comedy with cute and lovable characters. The goofy antics that the girls get into don't bother me at all, because it's meant for comedy and the series was never supposed to be serious to begin with. However, I still feel like there still are/were some idiots out there who had utterly no businesswatching this show in the first place. And yes, it's actually a Grumpy Old Man. (So much for me saying last page that I wouldn't share these blogs).

Anyways, I've always felt that trying to take this show seriously and evaluate why the girls act the way they do acts as a detriment to your enjoyment of it. You don't need a grandiose plot with high stakes and troubled characters to make a good show, and I feel like K-ON is an excellent example of this.

[down] I will admit that Sawako bounced back and forth for me throughout the series, though she did settle on being pretty alright as a character to me come the middle of season 2. Not counting season one, the only times where I really couldn't stand her was in episodes 4 and 6 of season 2, where she acted like your average stuck-up teacher that constantly yelled at the girls whenever they did something comedic/harmless (I know that's more in line with what a teacher should act like, but it's both boring and obnoxious in a show like this). To me, she's at her best when she's off-the-wall crazy and/or showing more of her casual, friendly side to the main girls.

Now that I've gotten a few episodes into season 2, I definitely see why people like Sawako more in s2. It's like she had a complete personality transplant over the school break.

Huh, funny I found a recently active thread.

I started rewatching the show 3 days ago. I've recently had the desire to pick up the guitar again since high-school, and, dunno, with it I also had the desire to rewatch K-On. And also now I want my first electric guitar to be a Les Paul, which will cost me around $3000 US, but apparently they're currently out of stock from the Cherry Sunburst model (Yui's Guitta) and won't enter production for a while due to the pandemic, so I have time to raise my money.

I watched until episode 12 as of last night, I'm gonna finish season 1 tonight.

It's also a shame the season 2 opener isn't as good. So far, Kagayake Girls is the only one of the credit songs I've actually enjoyed.

Gonna have to disagree there, I find the first op to be the weakest. Go Go Maniac has just so much energy, and Utayo Miracle is cute af.

I watched the movie last night. It's a shame all good things must come to an end.

One thing really puzzles me though - Why do we only ever see two members of the Occult Club when the Light Music Club needing four members to avoid disbanding was a major plot point early on?
