@Steven Universe: I also started disliking Ronaldo after he turned out to be a conspiracy theorist. However, I'm confused because at the end of the episode he revealed himself as such, he reached the conclusion that it was, uh, rock people or something? Which I took to mean the gems? Which would actually be right? Did I misunderstand what he was saying at the end of that episode?

Also, regarding Lapis, I think the gems knew there was a gem in the mirror as much as some other gem-magitech can actually be gems, but I'm not convinced it was "personal" against Lapis. Or at least that's the impression I had, I'm still in season one. Maybe I'm wrong at how gem-magitech works.

I like that Steven Universe took a concept I had seen before in my childhood and took it to a place I never considered, making me think of the complex social and psychological implications of two living beings fusing.

I don't know how young some of you are, but I saw it in Dragon Ball as a kid and that thought never crossed my head. Makes me think of Pacific Rim too.
