[up]The first picture he looks sly and not totally trutworthy, but not really evil. The second pic he is smiling, and not really menacingly. Without the comparison, there is no way to tell the sky is supposed to be a ominous sky. The artist could have simply decided to paint a darker sky cause it went more nicely with the color of his robe.

Again, I think you're onto something here, but the picture in particular are not the best. Like I said, can you find a picture of him when he's doing something like Kicking The Dog, when he's coevred in blood, when he cast evil evil spells, everything that would make him look evil? For example, my not so good pic a somewhere in this thread is a good way to go: You see a priest gouging someone eye's out. Even if you have no idea who that is, you know he's not nice.

^ Unfortunately I fear I don't have such pictures. There's not a ton of Mitsumete Knight artworks out there. I can try to search, but I don't think I have better than what I proposed (his Limit Break sequence would rather fall into Badass Preacher and High-Pressure Blood categories instead, and wouldn't look good enough IMO).

Rats, I thought the Fire Emblem series would have some good pics for this trope, most notably with Gharnef and Manfroy, but I can't find suitable enough ones. :/

Uh, that was me.

I think Frollo's perfect for the page image, but after searching his scenes over and over, I couldn't find a fitting screengrab, so I just picked one of the ones I had taken at random and threw it on there.

I'm not married to that screengrab or anything, but I'd really like to see ANYTHING but that horrid piece of art. He looks like a grape.

Oh, and he IS referred to as a minister in the Disney version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRO-M4XyAbM

[up] Yes, he is, I have already acknowledged it, but he is technically a judge. It's pretty confused- I think we can chalk it up under bad logic. Or more historical knowledge then I have. And, come to think of it, minister doesn't necessarily means religious figure. Canada's head of governemental department are called the Minister of something (minister of justice, Minister of Industry, Minister of Finance etc.

Anyway, the point of contention here is that independently if Frodo is a priest or not, he doesn't look like one. He doesn't have the iconic collar or mitre, or a necklace with a cross or something. We need soemthing a bit more iconic.

... would we need permission of said blogger to use it though?

^The picture doesn't have a copyright from said blogger so I think we're good.

Only other thing I'd want to bring up is that the same character in that picture is already portrayed on the Badass Preacher page.

It's from Preacher. He goes on to a mission to kill God.

Got it, put it up. Current caption is of the Captain Obvious variety, though. o.o

Only that Preacher needs a new page image now, but that shouldn't be hard.

Preacher has a different image now, why does it need a different one?

I just changed it. It had the same image when I posted that.

Does that matter?

Probably not all that much, but it can be a little irritating seeing the same character pop up in multiple places for character tropes dealing with similar groups of people (in this case, priests and other religious ministers).

Hold on a sec, isn't Jesse Custer the hero of Preacher?

He's the protagonist of Preacher. I wouldn't say he's the hero. Especially at that point.

Looks like we have the pic for this trope, shouldn't we lock this?

I think it should be downsized a bit; as it is, it's freaking huge.
