That doesn't mean the suit wouldn't help.
What benefeits does it provide though?
I can only think of being able to walk on water.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well what do the suits do exactly?
If they boost his strength even higher and provide some extra defence, then there's some value in having one.
One Strip! One Strip!Jinbe's new role will just be the guy that can swim. Sanji will promptly get a new devil fruit power. Jinbe will never leave the boat or its immediate vicinity in case someone falls off.
Who do you think would win Ace vs. Kin'emon?
Really doubt Kinemon is anywhere close to Emperor-Commander level.
Ace seemed significantly weaker than the other commanders to me, but I'm still going with him.
I'd actually go with Kin'emon. His style provides a natural advantage and Ace just comes off as really unimpressive all things considered.

I didn't have an issue with the Admirals being so strong the time skip wasn't enough to catch up - I just don't know how Oda can justify eventually reaching that level if the timeskip didn't do it.
I really wouldn't like another timeskip given how much importance the first one had.
I dont want another one since the quality lowered so much with the first one.

Oh God! Natural light!Just imagine how ugly Franky would be!
Can Chopper be chibified further?!

Unless we also just want to turn Nami and Robin's waists into one-inch twigs supporting melons bigger than Big Mom's head, this is a terrible idea.
Plus, in-universe, the time skip just started. Look, in a world where Oda's immortal, I could easily see One Piece lasting another 10 years based upon Luffy's gradual but steady progression in strength. But we all know this series doesn't have 10 years, and I think we have to be honest and admit the ending is going to be a little rushed.
I don't see a conceivable way for Luffy to beat Kaido at the moment, but we know he has to do it in order to become Pirate King. Same goes for defeating the other emperors and the admirals. All of this combined with the (obvious) fact that it only took Luffy 3, 4 years max, to become Pirate King while it took Roger 10+ years, at the least, is no doubt going to rub people the wrong way. But I can see Oda chalking it up to "The new generation surpassing the old".
Luffy doing it in a shorter time isn't a big issue for me. I just don't see how he's going to do it.
Although not seeing how Luffy can get there can be a good thing, as long as Oda manages to stick the landing once he gets to it.
I could see all of the Straw Hat Devil Fruit users, at least, getting a Fruit Awakening which boosts them up to end-game level.
Chopper would get a new mostly human form to turn into, smaller than Monster Point but with even more power, and he might figure out a way to combine Awakened form with his others for a whole new set of end-game abilities. Imagine Awakened Monster Point.
Robin's power would now extend to being able to sprout any inanimate object from anything within her sizable radius, and she's creative enough to use that to devastating effect.
Brook... might gain the power to reanimate corpses around himself and exude a wide aura of freezing soul energy.
I'm sure Luffy can figure out some way to use the ability to make his surroundings rubbery, aside from just turning the Thousand Sunny into a bouncy house.

I'm pretty sure Monster Point is Chopper's Awakened form.
I doubt it. The three Awakened Zoans we've seen were humans with animal Devil Fruits, and yet they were all extremely animalistic, the only human aspect left being they were bipedal. An Awakened Chopper would most likely be almost entirely humanoid, with a few small aspects of raindeer left.

I don't think we'll see Brook's Awakening until he's reunited with Laboon, playing his final song and, intentionally or not, summoning up the spirits of the bygone Rumbar Pirates to join in.
For added melodrama, the unknown man sharing a drink with Crocus in that cover story is Yorki, who reunites with Brook as well, passes away during the song, only got his spirit to join in with the band.
Judging from the digital colored version, the guy drinking with Crocus seems to be Shiki.
It took Roger a lot more than 10 years. It seems like he started his pirating career when he was Luffy's age/early 20s and he only became the Pirate King in his late 40s early 50s. It was inevitable that Luffy was going to do it faster than that, the problem is making it believable. Just doing it faster doesn't count as the "young surpassing the old" if the reasons for it are bullshit.
Part of the reason for Roger's length, as I recall, was that he was just doing everyday piracy and only upon the discovery of the True History did he start over from scratch aiming for Raftel. That part, I'm remembering, he did within a year.
Luffy meanwhile, has basically had Raftel as his goal from the start whether he knew it it not and has been sailing straight there, with clues left behind by others and with Robin as a guide.

He's probably stronger than all of them even with the suits anyway, including the dad.
