I really hope the idea of partner creator teams works, because it halves all the stress.
The trouble with the manga industry is that there's no offseason. Actors, screenwriters and athletes all have busy schedules, too, but they at least get a couple months of vacation each year. Mangaka who publish weekly series don't have that benefit, instead only getting four weeks off a year, and not all at once.
Of course, Oda's personal habits far exceed anything forced on him by the industry. He used to spend 21 hours a day, six days a week writing manga. The human body should not be awake 21 hours a day, let alone working that long. Add in the drinking and the smoking, and you have a recipe for a health disaster. He's only 42, but that's still older than Toriyama was when he finished Dragonball. He very well may not live to be 60.
He needs all the breaks he can get, even if it will deprive of us of more One Piece goodness because his saftey is worth more than our pleasure.
New chapter out.
The Vinsmokes refuse to be in the debt of a failure.
At least they are making themselves useful.
One Strip! One Strip!
Ungrateful Bastards.
I don't think that's how you should be reading it.
Ok, so I guess I heavily misinterpreted it.
I mean, it was pretty obvious calling him a "failure" here was a tactic admission of Judge's on mistake.
Yeah, it's rather backhanded.
Capone has sure come a long way from stabbing his subordinates for being annoying.
I am happy that Sanji and his family came to a solution that was keeping in character for both parties.
I am also starting to think that the Mermaid box was a red herring unless this chapter took place in the span of 10 seconds.
I wouldn't call the Tamate Box a red herring until the arc officially ends without it going off.
Nobody's saying for certain that the box won't explode. These are just predictions.
I still stand by my interpretation from last time: That one dude accidentally throwing the box off the mountain was the punchline to an elaborately set-up joke. If the box ever does come into play later down the road, it will not be for this particular battle, because that would ruin the joke.
My own prediction is it'll blow up with a blast big enough to take out a chunk of the castle and offer a guaranteed shot at escape.
I'm on board with that idea as well.
I like that this chapter confirms Caesar and Judge used to work together. Or has it been mentioned before now and I just missed it?
Do you know what people want the most? Something somebody else has.I remember it was mentioned that Judge was part of a group of renegade scientists that included Vegapunk who, along with most of the others were conscripted into World Government service
Yeah, I wonder if Oda will elaborate on that.
I can't I was kinda right about Sanji attacking a woman. Granted it is Big Mom's familiars but still.
That's her familiars, and not Big Mom herself still.
Then you weren't really "right" then.
Didn't they just hit Big Mom's fist though?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I will reread the chapter but still I was wrong it about being Pudding.
And the one of the six that's made by a team is the one that's surviving, just like the earlier co-created Promised Neverland.
