Personally I liked that fine . Deus ex machina to be sure, but I always felt like Naruto earned that machina by standing by his principles and not continuing the Cycle of Revenge
This is going to sound really mean but I actually liked seeing Pain dispose of semi-regulars like Shizune and Kakashi insultingly easily. Not because I didn't like the characters but because it really worked well in hyping up Pain.
Besides Kakashi, I don't really think much would have been lost by just letting those Pain killed stay dead.

Honestly? Kakashi was the best part. The wise, noble mentor figure dies begging for his life as the Big Bad unceremoniously flicks a nail through his skull. Literally never seen anything like that before. It was so insulting that it went right back around to awesome.
My thought is that he was a construct and not properly "alive," like when Moria re-sorbed his zombies. I like the fan theory that Pudding is another such construct, and that Big Mom has a normal number of real children if she has any at all.
Kakashi should've stayed dead, but that's discussion for another thread.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBy the way, speaking of Moriah's powers, I gotta say the Shadows Asgard scene was one of the scarier things in the manga. With a touch of Tear Jerker due to the montage of the named zombies getting drained.
I've been wondering when Moriah and his crew are going to come back into the story because of last nights episode.
Absalom is apparently now a freelance reporter using the escape pod ship. Dunno if Moriah and Hogback would be with him though.
Huh that's an interesting thought. Will Moriah come back now that Kaido is in the game?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."By the way I'd really hate it if the Straw Hats made friends with Absalom and Hogback. Those two are strong contenders for the absolute worst minor villains IMO.
Absalom did go out of his way to save Moriah. I don't see those guys parting ways.

Oh, was it confirmed the Absalom saved him?
Isn't it just obvious? Doflamingo said he "disappeared" and I think that's when the whole "Absalo" or whatever the alias is was brought up. It seems pretty clear cut.
I see no reason for Nami or Chooper to forgive Absalom or Hogback. Luffy & the rest though...... cause they never met the two.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I wonder why Doffy couldn't find them with Haki?
He prolly didn't give a fuck. I can see Doffy only tried to kill Moriah cause he was ordered too & gave up once he found an easy excuse.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm sure there's a countermeasure to observation Haki, like DBZ characters could suppress their energy to avoid being detected. We also know that some devil fruits can interact with Haki (eg. Enel's fruit amplifying his Mantra), so perhaps Absalom's fruit can make him invisible to observation as well.
I also agree that Kakashi should have died...because I hate him. A lot. I love Shizune and Choza but them I would have understood and respected Kishimoto if he had kept them dead.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyChapter.
Praline is a 20/10 design.
Guessing Jinbe will lose an arm, since they're important for Fishman Karate.
Secret SignatureSo on the Roulette is arm, leg, head, and possibly life?
I thought this before with the initial revelation of the Emperors having Road Poneglyphs, but note I'm making it a proper prediction-slash-: The plan to steal the Road Poneglyph will consist of swapping it with the one Jinbe brought and painting it red.
Also love we're seeing compulsive gambler Rayleigh on the cover for the chapter titled for betting on someone.

Pretty good chapter.
If it's reversible I just hope it's handled better than the Pain arc mass resurrection in Naruto.
