So.
If I'm not overlooking something, the next chapter should be about some combination of: Doffy, Trebol, Bellamy, Luffy and Trafalguy.
And should be out tomorrow-ish.
Right?

Also do I REALLY have to slap you in the face with potholes for anybody to recognize a joke running off how nearly everybody else's mother is dead?
I am not going to even attempt to apply real world biology to One Piece.

Oh God! Natural light!I'm thinking Chopper's lifespan is somewhere between a reindeer's and a human's. This doesn't explain why he's so naive at seventeen, but whatever.
Also, all this made me question: does Brook have to eat? If so, did he just fish and steal Thriller Bark supplies for fifty years? If not, how does he know that he poops?
So I'm a writer...Oh, Chopper's mom is dead, but not of old age. She just got made into delicious stew ages ago.
As far as Brook goes I would say his devil fruit power allows him to do human things but he no longer needs to do them to survive. He must have ran out of food and fresh water decades before anyone found him.
Something I've always wondered about though is if that's a normal for the revive-revive fruit or if the power of the fruit only acts as a life support system for him because he's a skeleton. I assume it's the latter.
I'm still surprised that he can be knocked out by sleeping gas.
Oh God! Natural light!I kinda figured Chopper might have gotten a human lifespan from the DF (mainly because I certainly don't want to think of him leaving the Straw Hats early), but, you know, he could've always been the one person who actually learned the secret to Dr. Kureha's youth.
Or One Piece reindeer just have an average lifespan of 317 in One Piece. That's why Chopper's childlike, he'll still be in the child stage of his development for a couple more decades.
Isn't the secret sour plums or something?
I have a message from another time...Brook wasn't looking for Thriller Bark for 50 years. Moriah found the Rumbar Pirates' ship in his sweep for victims in the Florian Triangle, i forget how long ago Brook said it was, but couldn't have been more than a few years. That was implied to be the first human contact Brook had, but since his ship was so decrepit he couldn't find them again or something?
I believe i watched that arc in early 2010. My god.
We can gather that Brook still needs to do things that all living things need, like regular sleep, food, water, and breathe. He is not an undead skeleton, he is a living skeleton - the difference being that undead skeletons are dead but animated, where as a living skeleton is still a walking, breathing person, just with an apparent lacking of flesh and organs.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorBrook ran into Thriller Bark five years before the Straw Hats found him, so before that he had been alone on that ship for 44 years, not counting year it took for him to get back to the ship and into his body.
Like I said, that only makes sense if he had enough food and water to last for five decades.

Rain and fish, probably.
IIRC it was 50 years since he died, not since he came back - he spent a long time wandering the triangle as a ghost before reuniting with his body.
Reply to extremely old post by Ogodei commenting on Pika's voice remainding him of Coco from Precure.
You watch both One Piece AND Pretty Cure? New fave forum member right here!
Also, Oda expressed jelousy of Precure because his daughter loves it more than One Piece. I always knew the whole "He feels uncomfortable writing woman getting hurt" and growing even more protective because of the love he felt for his daughter...
...I wonder if he will catch on to the fact that she may like Precure more because girls actually get to fight and save the day there. I really hope he will.
And yes, girls really do like seeing action and getting to kick ass too. Loving action is not a gender thing.
