Nope. Really, I do have to wonder how some of the characters, especially like say Robin or Chopper ate theirs'.

Nothing at all, huh? Do we know how a Devil Fruit...for want of a better word, "reforms" after their user is killed?

The only thing we saw was Smile: one of the apples laid out became the copy of the Devil Fruit.

Huh. Seems likely that might be the case with the real ones, then.

The idea I had was for this character to have had her face badly scarred by a Marine Admiral who had possessed Ace's Devil Fruit in the past, but in the end was killed by Roger, who took the Devil Fruit and gave it to Whitebeard for safekeeping, with Whitebeard later giving the fruit to Ace. I thought that the character could wear a mask to hide her injuries, but come to think of it, the Devil Fruit powers I want to give her would require her to hide her face anyway, so maybe that bit isn't necessary.

Wait, we don't see Chopper eat his fruit? Huh.

Well, it can't have been a complicated affair. The blue-nosed reindeer, languishing at the back of the pack, found an odd fruit that feel off a tree, that the others didn't touch, and he started to eat, is what I imagine happened.

I wonder if Robin's fruit was an accident similar to Luffy's, with Olvia bringing back the fruit from some expedition, and a very young Robin taking a bite.

Anyway, yeah. Robin had her powers during her flashback. She got bullied pretty hard because of them, too.

Gah, don't make me think of Robins backstory. It pulls on the heartstrings every time . Poor kid just couldn't catch a break.

Who had the sadder backstory, Robin or Law?

no one beat luffy in backstory. he got the worst backstory of all them.

I'd say Robin's was worse. Sure, Luffy also lost someone that meant a lot to him in the midst of a horrific attack that burned his usual place of residence to the ground, but Luffy came out of it with Ace, Dadan, and a place to live. Also, the friend he lost came back.

Whereas Robin lost everything she'd ever known, and has been on the run ever since. Luffy at least had a roof over his head, and wouldn't be branded an outlaw until he became a pirate years later.

It's hard to quantify suffering, but Brook spent fifty years with nothing but the corpses of his friends for company. No wonder he's a few notes short of a scale (music joke!)

luffy don't know his parent and worst of world government after him trying to kill his blood line without him knowing. luffy then got worst person to train him want him be a grovement who throw him everywhere like jungle and forest when he is mad at him and got drop him off who know where bad guys lives. luffy got to suffer not knowing anything ace and sobo. he got a devil fruit he know noting about? he is still a kid at that time too but he still got to go through the suffer know his best friend sobo is die.

Okay, grammar. That's not me being a Grammar Nazi, that's me pointing out that your post was actually a bit difficult to understand.

As for the rest Luffy doesn't particular care about his parents or the government. There is no evidence that they are trying to wipe out the D.s and his relationship with Garp is pretty good actually. His devil fruit has worked out perfectly fine for him and he couldn't swim anyway. I don't even know what you were trying to get at with Ace and Sabo.
