I finally picked up Unlimited World Red on the Wii U.

It's a pretty fun game, though I think I prefer the arcade-y Coliseum mode to the story, if only because I get a bunch of characters to play as.

I'm also amused that they made it so that Luffy and Chopper don't get petrified by Hancock's attacks.

Pica's voice... I want Luffy's reaction. That kid rolls 1 on Diplomacy every time.

Also, Unlimited World Red's story mode is kind of hilarious to me. It's using the whole "recreate things from your memories so this game can use iconic villains" bit, but it's also using the time-skipped Straw Hats, so they're basically curb stomping everything in their path. Best bit so far was when the Drum Island chapter had them caught in an avalanche again, but Sanji just went and melted the whole thing with Hell Memories.

[up]*3: I stopped the anime after feeling it just keeps dragging on. But reactions like that? I would watch it just for them. [lol]

I don't know. I just really love Dressrosa (and Punk Hazard). I dont get the criticism. I can understand Fishman Island (even tho it was pretty good when catching up), but otherwise... no

Punk Hazard was only really good for establishing the alliance for me, I wasn't overly engaged by its plotline, characters, or motives. Dressrosa's just gone on too dang long. I think someone mentioned the key difference between the fight mess between here and Marineford is that in Marineford they were all significant figures. Dressrosa's coliseum fighters with all these in-between battles? Personally, nah, I don't care for them that much. I really just want back at how Luffy & Law vs. Doflamingo is going. (I'm still salty too that Rebecca didn't get to fight whatsoever after a wish-declaration to protect her father, but alas.)

Also, we still haven't gotten back to whatever happened to Sanji. Sorry you're still MIA, birthday boy.

Yep, March 2nd! The OP wiki usually lists who has their birthdays. I got reminded by my Tomodachi Life game though.

You didn't actually provide a reason. You said you don't like it because you don't. Which is fine, but you shouldn't complain about it when other people have complaints for actual reasons voice them.

Without getting another ban, i'll just say that Dressrosa will be seen much better in retrospect. It'll be a Cult Classic. Maybe even moreso than Wano arc or Whole Cake Island arc.

That's an impressive prediction given you're comparing it to two arcs that haven't even happened yet.

I'm mostly impressed that he thnks he can't argue his position without getting himself banned, which is to say, that he can't argue his position at all.

I'm liking the Dressrossa arc so far, mostly because of the tragic backstory and the monstrousness of Doffy's actions, contrasted with the bravery and selflessness of the Riku family. The wackiness of Doffy's crew is excellent as usual for OP villain crews. Pica in particular gets me laughing every single time. The toymaker girl was also fun.

But the best part of this arc was Usopp. His reaction to his bounty, and his interactions with the Tonatta and the toymaker girl...

So what if One Piece's humour, as well as its drama, are things kids definitely would get? This manga can make you cry over a boat and laugh over a high-pitched voice. I think Oda-sensei's still at the top of his game.

Diamante and Trebol are just boring assholes, though.

I shudder at the implication that Oda's writing will go downhill from here.

Given the sheer time scales involved, it's hard to tell.

Ah, this scene's a classic:

BUT DAMN, the anime's terrible! Between drawing things out and messing up the climax, it just ruins the joke!

not necesarry that it will go downhill, but Wano+Whole Cake will be like Enies Lobby, since Luffy will attack first. That's not a bad thing, but Oda really focused on Dressrosa a lot more.

Whole Cake - They defeat Big Mom

Wano - They defeat Kaido

Dressrosa - Sabo is alive, birth of God Usopp, Luffy gets a huge fleet and probably a lot of other shit i'm forgetting. And Doffy is defeated.

Not all arcs from now on will last 2 years and a half like Dressrosa. There's no reason for Wano and Whole Cake to last more than 1.5 years at most.

Krillin is a pirate?

[up]Acting like Oda's writing is that predictable. I suppose you predicted everything that happened in this arc?

For all we know, Kuina will be alive in Wano, Buggy attacks, Johnny and Yosaku became highly regarded samurai, and Kinemon turns out to be a government spy.

Kuina isnt alive.

Buggy has no reason to attack

Johnny and Yosaku are still in East Blue

Only the last thing you predicted can actually happen, but i doubt it

If Oda wants Buggy to attack he will make it that Buggy has a reason to attack.
