- Allegedly, Ragnarok is tomorrow. Like the last three Armageddon predictions, it'll probably not happen though.
- Chalk one down to the "Well Duh!" category: Dogs can sense human emotions. And in a very similar way to us too.
- US Army Apaches get new eyes. Now seeing and killing the enemy in full color TV!
Very cool the colour cam for Apaches. Now to make it truly high def.
Who watches the watchmen?Hagel's budget plans to shrink Army, Air Force.
There's a 99.999% probability it'll get rejected by Congress since it does stupid shit like retain the F-35 and bin the A-10.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Where's the A-10 manufactured?
I wanna say Ohio but I think I'm wrong.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Oh, according to Wikipedia it's no longer produced.
What are the actual chances of this budget getting through?
You have a better chance of the Great Lakes being ice free tomorrow.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."And the reasons are?
^ Well for one, Hagel is binning the most useful asset of the United States Air Force in favor of what is by and large a bloated piece of shit. (Seriously the F-35 is terrible, it should be cancelled.)
For another it's cutting jobs and benefits, something not exactly welcomed in the chronically terrible economy of the past 5+ years.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Oh right, the "Pigeon".
Though I'm wondering about the viability of the F-16 and F-15 in the long run.
And on the second point, I can see why they won't do that.
I'm with the flyboy hobbyists that's not a B2. I think it might be a BAE Taranis. Either that or it's a completely new toy.

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Tom Share it in the Sky-High thread and see what they think.
Who watches the watchmen? That thread no longer appears to exist. (And if it was in OTC I can't anyways.)
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."It's in Yack Fest.
Nope, it's Lost Forever. I even did Google exact word searches for Sky High Thread and got two results, neither were the thread.

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."(Cross posting from the World Building forum specifically the Sci-fi Equipment Thread)
US Navy creates method for making hydrocarbon fuels out of seawater.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Obama and the Easter Bunny - in pictures.
The second pic undermines any possible seriousness that could have existed.
And those captions.

Boeing is apparently making its case for the US Navy to say adios to the JSF program. (The Navy appears to be interested in a way out at the very least.)
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."The Cold War may have done more for modern archaeology than anyone could ever have imagined.
The gist of it: Old pics from the CORONA spy satellite program in The '60s have apparently found archaeological sites previously unknown about in the Middle East. Presently there are about 4,500 sites ongoing today, these pics imply there may be more than 10,000.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."That is pretty cool. I want to see those images.
Who watches the watchmen?200 Nigerian girls are missing. This story sickens me.
