Re-watching the new episode.

Joey has some good lines, but I hate Johnson's voice.

So far Abridgimon just seemed like a recap of the first ep of digimon with some pop culture references tossed in. Don't think I actually laughed at that one.

Ep50 was alright I guess, Johnson's voice was pretty annoying. I think I laughed once or twice.

Also, is it just me or are all the abridged series resorting to the Seltzer and Friedberg style of tossing in pop culture references in the place of humor?

I don't care what anyone says, I thought that episode was great.

I was pretty disappointed with the very ending. Joey's going on about the lack of Phoenix Right references, Kaiba's basically telling him to shut up, and the final line is...Grampa asking where he is in a dull monotone.

Yeah. Average episode. Had some good bits (FRIENDSHIP) but overall not as good as lots of others have been, which is a bit of a shame for the 50th episode.

The credits 'By Little Kuriboh' gag was hilarious though.

But even when telling Joey to shut up, Kaiba loses... by being in a Phoenix Wright reference.

And I think Grandpa was a reference to the forgetful Judge?

He wasn't in the judges podium so no. It's just Grandpa being himself.

It was a good episode. Not his funniest, but nothing I'm gonna baw about. If this is the average, we've reached a good point.

Actually I think Johnson's voice was one of the better ones. (sadly)

Damn, LK was busy. And apparently we still have a Council of Evil video on the way!

Man, that was a lot funnier than the actual episode.

I was kind of mehing my way through that, but then the ending wonderfully brought it all together.

WOW. I probably would've never guessed this, being as horrible with guessing games as I am.

I'm almost a bit annoyed. There was already a season zero abridged series, and while not GOOD, definitely had potential.

I kinda feel sorry for the girl that did it.

So Yami was a psychopath in season 0?

He sure was, and even MORESO in the manga! I read about half those chapters, though I didn't see much of the series because of course it's sub only.

...wait, what?

It might be just something put on by the low quality of the drawing inherent to Season Zero, but for some reason this seemed noticably worse overall. The timing and well, annoyance of the voices seemed more like the first 5 eps he made than his later stuff. Almost like he regressed to the begining for this series.
