Yikes.
I'm guessing more stuff about if Amon and Zaheer were good villains or not too??
Tons!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAnd also -get this- whether Zaheer was a good person. He wasn't.

I'm vaguely curious about whether killing Korra was actually the plan the entire time.
I don't think there's any indication either way.
I'm also wondering what they wanted to do with Vaatu. I mean, they didn't want a Dark Avatar. But they did want him freed. Would they have helped Korra destroy him, or.
I mean. Red is a very Vaatu color. And White is pretty close to Raava.
So. I dunno.
Vaatu sounds pretty tyranty to me.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I'm stating my opinion, weather people want to make something of it or not.
He had good, even noble goals to start with. And it's strongly implied the system shaped them just as much as they did to themselves. So yes the system isn't completely blameless, but on the other hand, short of death sentences, you have no choice but to not trust such dangerous people, especially when they can and will try to kill you and escape at every possible moment
There doesn't seem to be a good way out of that one.
But his ideology doesn't mean anything whatsoever if he's willing to screw over peoples' lives without any say in the matter. Any idea is an extreme when you've made the justification that you yourself are the only one allowed to be right.
He could be an order-obsessed military soldier and it'd not make his actions any better. Point is, Zaheer and company aren't bad people for what they believe, they're bad people because of what they've done to justify that belief.
This was practically spelled out when Korra admits that they had good intentions to start with. I really thought that was blatantly obvious.
I mean.
The Red Lotus would probably think Vaatu ruling wouldn't be much better.
But they did seem to want the portals open. Because spirits and stuff I guess.
And they seemed to think that Wan separating Raava and Vaatu in the first place was really dumb. Which. Fair enough.
I always love a good fanvideo.
I admit, a few videos of this song have caught my attention.

Zaheer calls Wan "foolish" for separating Raava and Vaatu in the first place, if I recall correctly. I think the implication is that he wants them to be in the same equilibrium they were in during Wan's time.
Wasn't hipster Zaheer a meme thing?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers^^ Yep. Reposted a couple of weeks ago, though I forget on which thread page and the site search is unhelpful.

There was some original art of them but I can't find it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Mako isn't invited because...? Maybe he doesn't like puppies.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'd think Mako being the comically serious guy would've been too obvious.
It's been 3000 years…"Its just puppies you guys. You're acting crazy." -tries to steal one-

Has anyone else considered the hilariousness that could occur if Korra energy-bent Rohan into a Water/Earth/Fire bender while babysitting?
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobIs that even possible?
''*finishes marathon of books 3 and 4*
...holy crap, did they just make what I think they made pretty much cannon?
I think we've had at least two Amon/Equalist/"does bending bring about inequality?" debates since you posted last, maybe three.
