You know who I do trust? Netflix.
From the sound of it, Korra is finally doing an official Channel Hop to Nicktoons?
Hi everyone.
Hope you all had happy news this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:
As for Cartoon Network: really?? You're giving up on a network that got rid of ONE show?? That's kind of petty. Maybe they WILL treat Korra like shit... maybe they won't, but I would doubt that given their recent treatment of action cartoons in general. Toonami is basically the only place they can be safe from cancellation.
Here's some news: ALL NETWORKS CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. Like a show? They don't care. They will cancel ANYTHING, including THEMSELVES, if they are not profitable!!! Shape up!!!!

To play Devil's Advocate, Cartoon Network has had a really bad reputation with screwing over shows over the past decade. Maybe they'll be better now that there's a new head honcho, but I can understand someone being burnt by the network.
That's what I'm saying! There really is NO alternative where Korra can have better treatment!
The only shows CN's screwed over in the past 10 years have been action cartoons, and even then, that phenomenon has really only been prevalent since the end of Justice League Unlimited in 2007. Symbionic Titan, the new Thundercats, Beware The Batman, Green Lantern, Generator Rex, and Young Justice were all hit. Ben 10, of course, survives.
Unless I missed something The Hub doesn't usually screw over shows but not that many people have access to it.
No. This year, Ben 10 got taken down for the first time.
I say decade because 2004 was when they started showing all the early signs; Megas XLR getting axed despite good ratings and Toonami losing it's block to Miguzi.
I seen a few rumors that Nick hated Korra and wanted to get rid of it for a while now.
This is not sur-pris-ing.
They wanted to cancel it before it even premiered because it starred a girl. That's probably also why they haven't seriously tried to make merchandise for it. They can't leave out Korra since she's the main character.
I'd also have to imagine that Nick wasn't pleased that The Last Airbender tanked.

It's stupid of them to take that frustration out on Korra which means that's probably true.
When TMNT ends, that will signal my official end to ANY interest I have with Nickelodeon!
Way back in the day, Avatar was pitched to Nick as being their "Harry Potter." Considering how action-focused it was, it seemed like Nick was really trying to make it into this Star Wars/Harry Potter-like juggernaut franchise. But then the live action movie flopped and Bryke's follow up show ended up featuring a female protagonist. note
That's my only guess why Nick seems so eager to wash their hands of the franchise.

@kyun: i can tell you're a fan of TMNT. -stares at avatar-
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Did Nick ever have a lot of love for it? They dicked around with Avatar's release dates a lot too although not to the extent of Korra.
The annoying thing is they probably won't sell the franchise to anyone else despite the fact that they don't feel they can make any money off of it.
That is a coincidence. I have actually only seen a few TMNT episodes.
Here's some official news for everyone worrying about Season 3. We're going to have to wait until the panel tomorrow for Season 4 news though.
Well at least we won't have to pay for it. Hopefully Nick will stop dicking around with the release schedule now.
I really don't get why there's not more avatar merch. Shirts, and just stuff in general don't really seem to...exist.
I'm baaaaaaackI guess they think people won't buy it. The only things I've seen are cell phone cases and a few action figures from the original series.
Because toys with girls on them don't sell!
Unless you're good at marketing and don't rely on 5 year olds begging their parents for whatever they see with spongebob on it at wal-mart.
I find it hard to believe that all network executives and merchandisers rely solely on stereotypical gender roles when it comes to their programming and product.
Has there been in studies or anything to confirm that, because while understandable in the 50s or 60s is seems strange that a view like that would persist, if only for pragmatic reasons.

I don't trust Cartoon Network. That channel has been on my shit-list since they axed Sym-Bionic Titan for 'bad merchandise sales' (READ: Non-existent merchandise) and just generally hasn't had much good. I've heard good thins about Steven Universe, but I'm still sore over SBT.
That and they generally tend to kill anything good that comes their way. They have a long history of Screwed by the Network and I'm not sure Korra would survive long unscathed by either merchandise issues or changes by CN.

I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.
