The ads on this site make it nearly unusable on a phone. Forgot to upgrade gear before starting Madarame fight and he began oneshotting my party. Woops.

Annnnnnnd one reaper down ! But yeah you were right, stats almost don't matter agaisnt him, thanatos was doing the same damage than, say, siegrfried. Siegfried ended up being the MVP with Apt pupil + revolution + vorpal blade being better to do the job than thunder reign cause the rest of the party couldn't followup on the shock and reaper always ended up recovering.

The guy can be really terryfying tho. Made a few savestates to see and you just can't afford to ever let him do a mind charge or you're toast. And even without it, some of his paty-wide attacks can end you hard. Although, I could see orpheus telos solo him. the guy seem to be made for that job, being mr. Resist : all except almighty.

But hey, at least now the entire cast's level 70 while the mc's reaching lvl 80.

I'm pleased to inform you of 2 things. You are now capable of defeating the last few story bosses at those levels, and you've unlocked the bonus dungeon Monad for the best level grinding in the game.

I've had the game for a while now, but it's been in the past couple of days that I've finally gotten around to betting Persona 5.

It was pretty fun all around, and even some of the more superficial mechanics and aesthetics that I did not really like at first (stealth elements, demon negotiation, the shadows being demons) I eventually came around to. Story and character-wise I thought it started out good but kind of dropped off as it went on, particularly when you got to the Fall months. If I had to rank it amongst the other games I'd probably put it right in the middle. I like it better then Persona 1 and 3, but not as much as Persona 2 and 4.

Speaking of Persona 4 I was planning on finally playing SMT:IVA after this, but I've got the itch to play Persona 4 again. I know it's probably been asked before, but do people think it's worth getting a copy (and a system) to play Persona 4: The Golden if you've already played Persona 4? I know there is some new content and story stuff but I'm not sure how much the experience really changes (for better or worse).

I'd say it's worth it. Golden is basically a whole new experience and, imo, a far better one.

By the way, I've been wondering. You destroy the normal enemy Shadows you come across, right? Aren't those the Shadows of just ordinary people in the world? I mean, the request Shadows also turn into generic enemies instead of having unique assets, which supports that. So when you go through a Palace/the TV World/Tartarus aren't you actually killing hundreds of people?

One of the Mementos quests explains that the generic shadows in mementos/palaces aren't as solidly defined or linked to the minds of their people. Or was it that the shadows in mementos are of the masses and not actually linked to one person? Either one.

I guess some news, the two dancing games will have some post-launch character DLC. They are Theodore and P 5 spoiler , Sho and Labrys (available on both versions), and finally Goro and Shinji.

[up][up][up]I don't think the rules of how shadows and the sea of the unconscious/ metaverse/ sea of souls etc.functions are uniform across the whole series.

In earlier games, it's said that people each have their own shadows, the things you're fighting random battles against are more like stray thoughts or forgotten memories — they're still bits of psyche, but they're not connected to any specific individual.

I think of it as something like if you get cut off in traffic and think "wow, fuck that guy" and then forget about it ten minutes later. That little disembodied spike of aggression can spin off and become a random-battle shadow. But it's not really connected to you, and killing it doesn't affect you at all.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

holy shit they weren't kiddinjg when they said the monado depths were a Peninsula of Power Leveling.

Soooo, 3 days or so before the final battle, every social links maxed out, i'm probably going to grind everyone till level 90+ while composing my dream team. What's the highest-level good physical specialist persona ? like, Someone with apt pupil + power charge + good physical skills ? Could always just go back to siegfried but as a level 64 persona who didn't inherited thanatos's broken stats I'd prefer someone a bit higher up in the level curve. (although stats really seems to almost not matter)

what would your ideal endgame persona team look like, actually ? I think I'm gonna go for Thanatos, Orpheus telos, Messiah,Lucifer, helel, Mara, and fill the rest with elemental coverage and specialists. For that matter, what would be good on orpheus telos ? Absolute elemental coverage ? or a physical/magical specialist ?

Can he get Helel's morning star ?

You don't need to be 90+ for the final boss, FYI.

Oh I know, but I'm still going to do it. if anything, for the two bonus bosses. And if that's overkill for them, then for the pure joy of saying hi to reaper with a badass crew who's gonna give him a truly bad time.

You can't just bring strong Personas for Elizabeth, you need to bring a lot of different ones and rotate between them every turn. iirc she kills you if you null the element she's about to use. Which means that since she uses light/dark skills you need a lot of homunculi.

Orpheus telos has got this covered, he resists everything. don't null/absorb/reflect, just resists.

And I have a bunch of homonculi saved thanks to margaret's trials.

Well, you're gonna need two for every attack rotation. Or maybe it was four. So you'll burn through them fast. I thought I had a lot too but I had to panic and rush near the end because otherwise I was going to run out of time, get instagibbed and have to start over.

Elizabeth isn't really a hard fight, it's just obnoxious with the rules the game makes you follow and the very specific strategy you need to use.

Anyway, get Debilitate if you can. I don't know if you know how good that skill is.

This one doesn't exist in P 3 P though, from what I'm reading.

Debilitate doesn't exist in Persona 3, no. The Elizabeth fight is basically a Puzzle Boss that requires you to pay attention to her patterns to deal as much damage as possible.

So it's one of those battles where you're railroaded into fighting in a specific manner then?

Not as much railroaded as the margaret fight from what I'm reading. the only prerequisites for elizabeth seems to have a good set of personas with resist skills (or just telos), and the rest is pretty much up to you.

No, the Margaret fight gives you more freedom that Elizabeth's. For one, you can fight Margaret Alone or with a Part. Elizabeth you have to be alone. Another thing is you can bring Personas with Null/Drain passives to Margaret. Elizabeth will kill you on the spot if you do that.

Oh Debilitate wasn't in P3P? I guess it's been a long time since I played it.
