Then his attention moved towards Vivian, and her note that time in a Netherworld was fickle and in flux. "Time dilation's a bitch, ain't it?"

Cheri's ears droop a little. "Please don't call it a dick measuring contest if we get this onto paper, hop" it comments. "But what's this about affecting the fabric of reality?" it asks. "The world doesn't look like it's particularly dependent on lightning to function, hop?"

"'Course I won't. I'm not an idiot because I'm a soldier," Mitch balked. "But... There's not really a way to tell if this realm runs purely on physical law or if Jupiter is doing something, whether it be actively or by dint of his mere existence, to maintain the place. Killing him - zeroing out all his ones - might have some profound effects on this dimension slash universe slash realm, whatever you want to call it, that we aren't able to predict, that might be catastrophic, that might kill vast amounts of innocent people."

"So, y'know, we're trying to avoid that."

"I suppose it's the right approach for something with such big potential consequences, hop." Cheri agrees. "But I'm dubious about how likely it actually is. I hope I can find out more, hop."

"Well, I did go talk to another god somewhat related to try and establish that," Mitch noted. "It's not like I'm doing this in the blind. Even if I damn well could have ended up doing so. It's a risk, and as much as I like getting revenge, it's not one I want to take for this."

"No, I just have a couple as friends," Mitch idly offered, as if that somehow made things any more possible or well explained than it was before. "Given we're going against their head god here, I doubt any of the ones in this place wouldn't exactly be too happy to talk to us."

"What a shame, that would have been convenient, hop." Cheri states. It looks back at Psyva. "Well I guess that sums it up. They just got done with some kind of death race, although I'm not entirely sure what they plan to do next, hop."

Since my avatar is a red skull (for Halloween), I decided to write a poem about a bunch of figures who worship a god whose manifestation is a skull.

The path of darkness is the way forward.
The way of light shall be our demise.
With tenacity, grit, and determination,
We persevere evermore in our lies.

A grinning, red skull of death incarnate,
Whose figures fill the void in fright,
Through the darkest, deepest valleys,
The totality of night.

We respond only to Him,
His word is all that He says,
Neither I, nor you, nor anyone,
Can disturb Him where he lays.

The blood of the blood god,
Lies drying on the stones,
In the creaks and cracks of darkness
And the glimmering shine of bones.

His word is our mission,
And His voices are our path,
May all those that oppose Him,
Feel our anger and our wrath.

Amongst the dark, empty void where the once lively place it used to be, a bright brown-coloured comet falls from the sky, creating a large fog after crashing into what appears to be ground. After the fog clears out, a brown fat monkey comes out.

OOOH AHHH!!! I HAVE COME TO GIVE NEW LIFE TO DEAD PLACE!!

The monkey, known as Le Monke, grabs a wooden sign from his Hammerspace and hammers it into the black ground. The sign says “Under New Management.”

   Under new management? The manager might legalize gambling this time. Maybe if you just took that comet and then send it into the sky, you could probably create a natural satellite for this hellscape.
