Well, we haven't checked the basement yet~ The dark basement where two young girls ran off unsupervised, with only a hairy pig for protection~ [she looks concerned] ...In hindsight, that was very irresponsible of us.

Risky: Okay. Shepard, go look for the guy responsible, before he comes to here to figure out what the fuss was about. I'll take the hostages outside. Now go!

-Tries to lead all the hostages out safely the way they came here-

~the hostages are, in fact, escorted outside without a hitch~

~meanwhile, Sherbet and Lip find a partially collapsed tunnel behind the hole in the basement~

Shepard: Okay~ -sniffs around, trying to search and follow the bad guy scent-

Looks pretty dark in there.

There's enough light in here to see by. What're you so afraid of? You just have to step around the rubble.

I don't know, Sherbet... It could be dangerous. Or even a trap. We don't have any idea who we're dealing with besides the fact that he likes birds a little too much.

[Sherbet takes a step into the tunnel anyway]

I don't know why I bother running my mouth when you're not going to listen... Sigh.

[meanwhile, Muffet sets the bird down outside with the hostages, then runs back inside and down the stairs to check on the fairies]

~there's a faint rumbling heard in the basement~

~are you certain you want to proceed?~

~meanwhile, Shepard must first figure out what scent he is trying to track in the first place~

-Maybe there's a scent on the AK?-

-Otherwise, Shepard is heading downstairs-

~the AK smells like multiple different birds, all of which have been nearby in the past hour or so~

~can't really single out which scent belongs to chief bird~
