I played this game all the time when it was new, though I never got to fight against anyone.
The biggest problem with handheld games: multiplayer is impossible unless you both have the console and game, compared to most home console games. -.-
I actually wished I could fight againts a few human players.
Sonic hates SOPAI did, too...Wanted to test what I called Game Breaker Emerl...
The Protomen enhanced my life.if anyone still has it around, post your movesets for emerl. I'll post mine tomorrow, probably. Just need to get home from campus first.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBusted out my copy and checked the file.
Emerl has....
- Ultimate Run
- Ultimate Dash
- Cream Jump
- Ultimate Air Action (when the heck did I get so many Ultimates? O_o)
- Basic Guard (ran outta room, I guess)
- Cream Heal
- Girl Jab for First Attack
- Girl Straight for Second Attack
- Girl Upper for Third Attack
- Chao Tornado for Heavy Attack
- Chao Upper for Upper Attack
- Girl Bomber for Dash Attack
- Ultimate Air Attack
- Girl Dunk for Aim Attack
- Sonic Wave for Ground Shot
- Air Pink Typhoon for Air Shot
- Chao Rush for Ground Power, though sometimes I switch out for Sonic Combo. The combo doesn't help against exploding enemies.
- Chao Revolution for Air Power.
- Bat Cracker for Ground Trap.
- Air Bat Cracker for Air Trap.
- Gamma's Fighting Style. I have the Ultimate one, but don't see what good it does me. :p
- Chaos's Attack Support 7.
- Sonic's Strength Support 2.
- Basic for Other Support. Don't have anything from there. ^^;
- Amy Color 1.
- Cream Color 2.
- Cream Color 3.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I found this, for those of you who had the ROM. for those of us who bought it with our hard earned money, we have to get the cards the hard way.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyCream's trap is a major Game-Breaker. It does more damage than ultimate trap, and kills in two hits. I suppose hitting with it is the real problem, but I would always just drop it on an opponent as an aerial trap.
I preferred using cream and tails for my two traps.

One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderYeah, most of the time, Traps were best used as an air attack or as the auto defend if you know your enemy is using one. especially if you're againts Rouge or Tails.
Sonic hates SOPAI never used traps, so I just picked the homing ones.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I think I remember being really cheap when all else fails with this game, spamming Cream's heal and Sonic or Tails' shot, or Sonic's air power move if they've chosen to shield against Shot.
The best and worst thing about Emerl is that while he could take the coolest or best skills from each character, he will always have the best heal and an efficient shot skill, making several kills near guaranteed. Most other characters had their heal balance out other stuff.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'd blame Artificial Stupidity for making that tactic worthwhile. Other players would probably try shooting back or attacking from a different angle instead of just charging in and getting knocked down again...
Replaying Sonic's story and that first battle was a nightmare cause I forgot to take off Emerl's skills.
The Protomen enhanced my life.can't find my GBA, so i'm going to bring the game to campus with me.
I'm so happy I found others who enjoy this game. Maybe I'll start a thread for X-Men: Next Dimension next, since I know there are others on the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 thread that enjoy that game as well.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI remember this... Forgotten most of the moveset, but I liked Rouge's flight and aerial kick thing for some reason.
I was never able to get all the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Advance 3.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I'm missing a couple myself. I'm gonna use the faq to find the chao, though. then it's just a matter of finding the keys, finishing the stage, and clearing the bonus stage.
Ah, replay "value".
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI loved combining Gamma's dash with Rouge's dash kick. It was cool to zip up really close, stop (while still in Dash mode, due to the way Gamma's dash works), and use Rouge's dash kick. If I'm stopped, then I can hit them with every single possible hit of the combo.
I have a message from another time...I did the same thing! well, for Devimerl, at least.
For Angemerl, I had Rouge's dash and Sonic's kick, which sent the player character far into the air. Then I could stay there if I had a rouge flying skill, and attack from above with axe kicks or Chaos's air power.
Chaos Emerl had Gamma's dash, a good speed support (can't remember who) to make it go absurdly fast (could circle the beach map) and Shadow's dash attack.
I can't wait until I have access to a GBA to post my full movesets.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI always liked how I could use Knuckles' air Power move to get two KO's with one Ichikoro charge.
You know, without any area effect hitting two people near each other stuff.
KO! Dig dig dig... SHORYUKEN MOTHAFUCKA!

Sonic hates SOPAI liked how this game averted Gang Up on the Human. It meant I could hide in Shadow's Ground Power and move to a corner of the map (yeah, you can move during it, but only in one direction) while they fought each other.
Though sometimes they'd bring the fight to you.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYes, liked that too. I assume cos one of them tried to flee from the fray, or cos they "noticed" I was way in the lead in Survival battles.
Does the story battles where Cream just stands there and does nothing count as Guilt-Based Gaming or Video Game Caring Potential? I admit she's not my favorite character in the series, but I just couldn't let two Mecha-Mooks just gang up on a little rabbit girl!
Sonic hates SOPAeither that or Escort Mission, but I can't remember the terms of that fight. Wasn't she not fighting, but you couldn't let her get KO'd? if so, Escort Mission, I think.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyActually, it didn't matter. It was a "KO Party" like all story battles, which means get X amount of kills first. Her getting KO'd only added to the enemy score, so it's not an Escort Mission.
However, she was an easy target for them to camp KO's from if you we're too busy trying to use your Heal to get Ichikoro or being too defensive againts one while the other was beating her up for points. thus you needed to be somewhat agressive or they'd get easy KO's and win.
Sonic hates SOPAIt could be all three. Unless you hated Cream, in which case it's a That One Level or Scrappy Mechanic. YMMV.
I liked Cream but felt angry about protecting her. When she finally did fight, though, I understood why the game waited so long to give me her specials.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
The art style does show up on the game menus? Though arguably it's pixellated due to the GBA hardware.
