The Da Capo franchise

I did like both. Kotori was great. DCIF just didn't tell a very good story. Just made me wish that mangagamer translated the full versions of games so I could do Akane route and stuff.

Koko's route wasn't all that bad. Then again, I was raised watching soap operas with protagonists cheating on each other and angsting for even worse reasons.

For me, Koko's route was really really bland, especially after Nanaka's, which I think was really good.

I don't like Nanaka, not at all, but I think her route was really moving. Because of Wataru, which is one of my favorite characters. It's funny, I chose Nanaka first because I didn't want to pick Koko and feel like I was betraying Wataru, but he ended fighting with me anyway. The rooftop scene was really moving.

But I feel that this a YMMV route, so...

Nanaka?

I didn't find Nanaka route to be much better than Koko's. Advantages it had were that it had less out of character behavior and a more likable heroine. I feel that Koko can't really stand on her own as a heroine and needs Anzu and Akane nearby to make up for her deficits.

I still think Anzu's route is better than both. I wonder how Minatsu's is. And Otome and Yume's.

I heard Yume's one of the best?

Well, my opinions of this game.

I don't know how to think about Yume's route, because I like her character too much, so I don't think I can be trusted myself.

Minatsu's route is awesome, hands down.

Otome is awesome too.

But just wait until you beat all the routes. Sakura's Scenario is the Best Ever. It feels like it was made by KEY Visual Arts.

All in all, DCII is miles better than the first, and a great VN. In my opinion, of course. =p

-_- I started playing a while ago, but I got sidetracked by Enzai and Aoishiro. Even though Da Capo II is obviously better.

As I said earlier, my problem with Nanaka's route is that it was a tad too much like Kotori's for my liking.

I gave up on the first Da Capo so it was fine for me.

Huh, Kotori's route didn't really made an impression on me, I can't even remember what happened to be honest.

I just remember that Nanaka's plot twist was the same with some minor changes. But there's no Wataru in Da Capo one, so, DCII wins!

Suginami was more hammy and funny in 2 =p

His voice is weird in 1.

I thought at first that Suginami's DC 2 voice was really really weird, but when he started to sound more and more like an evil hammy overlord, I changed my mind. I can't imagine him with any other voice now.

Suginami needs a route. Seriously.

No. Needs moar Suginami, regardless. Seriously, I kind I liked him, and I normally don't like the Bromantic Foil.

Damn, just finished playing the game. X_X So sad. Poor Sakura.

Eh, Sakura got a pretty good deal if you ask me. She's alive and she's no longer pining after Junichi and can thus grow up.
