I mean, holden WAS a writer before he got shuffled off the boat for questioning leadership choices.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"The Kickstarter for Lunars: Fangs At The Gates is up. It's already halfway funded!
Leviathan is trans now. So that's a thing.
Hey, so there's this bit on The character page for Mnemon:
Dark Magical Girl: Third Edition makes her an adult one; the trauma of her childhood actually burned out her ability to form Kinships, and everything she does is to prove that she is her mother's most loyal and competent living daughter. She's also a skilled sorceress.
Where did this idea come from? I can't find anything about it in the book.
Well, that's certainly a take. Don't know if anything's ever mentioned about her Kinship status one way or another, but we've got her Intimacies and a tie of "admiration" towards mom doesn't really jive with the way that entry describes her.
Old topic, but are you lot familiar with Holden's fansplat Exalted vs World Of Darkness?
Was it ever brought up on here?
At the top of this very page, in fact.
Son of a gun. Well, hey, there's a companion book with Infernals and Alchemicals
Friend wants to know how useful armor is in Exalted, or being any sort of tank-y build. Do you have an answer for him?
Hey, so I've been looking at the Trope pages for exalted and they're kind of a mess of 2e and 3e lore all mashed together, which in some cases is just not compatible. It's just going to be confusing for someone trying to use the site to understand exalted. They're gonna come away with weird, half-baked notions that aren't true of any edition.
What I think we need to do is make a separate page for third edition. Just like, start fresh like the line itself did.
What do you guys think?
It'd probably be better to make Exalted a unified franchise page and make separate works pages for 2e and 3e. That way people can just say Exalted if they mean the system/setting generally, and Exalted Second Edition or Exalted Third Edition if they want to specify. It's more work to start, but having Exalted refer to second edition and Exalted Third Edition as a separate page is just a different kind of mess.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Fair point.
And that lets us add Essence too. Although for the most part it's going to have the same tropes as 3e.
Just dropping in to note that the Exalted: Essence kickstarter is now live.
It was funded in about 15 minutes. I think. I looked away for a second and it was already done.
So, I've been hearing complaints abroad that the the Exalted page is filled with errors or that it's far to stuck in "late 2e".
Should there be a split between the editions?

I think the character pages at least should be split.
Right now Ma Ha Suchi's entry is a weird amalgam of his 2e and 3e presentation and not particularly accurate to either.
A quote from somewhere, second-hand I think and I dunno the source, but it was cool:
Obey. Serve your betters. And most importantly, bring Hell to Creation. As long as they fulfill these simple instructions, the Infernal exalted have their masters blessing, no matter the cause they fight for or the methods they use. To the Yozi, the Infernals are somewhere in between one of their creations, and one of their souls - Living instruments of their will, whose glory is their glory, whose conquests are their conquests. There is no unified, grand plan to escape hell or betray their chosen - Though certainly, some of the mad titans might attempt such things. But primarily, they simply seek to strike back at a world which has wronged them, to force it to bend to their will. To rule, to set the world right, even if they must do it from behind bars.
There a reason we switched back to Ma Ha Suchi's 2e portrait?
So, this is a thing.
