Harvest Moon is one of those games that I like on a certain level, but can never be bothered to actually play to the extend it's meant to be. The repetition is one thing, but there's also a whole lot of Guide Dang It! screwing up the social interactions.
Still don't hold a candle to "deadly poisonous Zanzibar hamsters", though.
Moon◊It's brilliant! Sign it, build it, I want one.
Incidentally, a sign that Venom Snake was an imposter all along: he never once asks what it tastes like.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Oh, so I guess these are the deadly poisonous Zanzibar hamsters, then
Moon◊Oh, come on! I've just started playing watching Metal Gear Solid! I was looking forward to finally understanding her MGS jokes!
Anyway, she is absolute right. Chrono Trigger is a damn great game, but it have its flaws. And a big one is how underutilized its excellent battle system was in the late game. It is a shame how not many other games tried to follow suit and improve on this mechanic.
Indeed. CT's combat system is one of the best in JRPG history, up until the lategame when the tactical moves stop being useful and everything becomes a boardsweep.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.What is frustrating is that there are some late game moves that have cool mechanics. But because so many more are either one or all they end up feeling out of place and underpowered. A particularly bad example was Chrono+Robo+Lucca triple tech. I believe it might be the only triple tech with a specific area of effect, and one of the fews which might be unusable in certain battlesnote , which makes it look really out of place near the other triple tech that effect the whole board or, at last any enemy. And it is very frustrating if you can't use against a boss (specially since you can only have on triple tech per party configuration).

Yeah. That was a pretty cool battle system.
One Strip! One Strip!I just like how he's overhanging.
He's got the high ground. Why not just shoot them?
One Strip! One Strip!Well he already took a bother to nonlethal.
Also I like to imagine a couple extra panels.
"Hey where's Joe? "
"Joe's mine now."
You know what is the best part of finally watching MGS footage? Realizing Katie's characterization of Snake is not complete fabrication of her part. He is almost as much of a silly dork in game as he is in the comics.
XD It's true. The game is all like, "You've captured this outpost!" and then you get money and stuff but the next time you pop by, it's full of enemies again. Even the ones you abduct are easily replaced.
Big Boss is more like particularly vicious troll than an enemy commander. Popping by every so often to knock out dudes and steal turrets, but rarely inflicting any lasting harm.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Well those cost money. So he's draining their resources.
Nothing in the game prevents you from kidnapping every soldier you see.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Well, the limit on manpower. But thats more a limit on how many you can keep...
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenWell, it's not untrue.
One Strip! One Strip! It is based on the Japanese criminal system.
Yeah, I heard about that.
Sounds a little flawed, but I can't fairly judge the entire system based off a parody.
One Strip! One Strip!
It scratches an itch that gardening does for many. The Satisfaction of growing your own food with hard work that probably costs far more in supplies (Let alone Manpower) than buying said food from the grocery store.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.
