I've found that I really, really like video game (or video game-esque) music that uses violins. The violin portion of Bonetrousle, Zinnia's theme in Pokemon, Dance of Thorns from Homestuck, etc. Anyone know of any other violin-y video game-y things?

Humph, lucky. I love snow and it started to snow where I live but it just suddenly stopped for no reason.

I used to like snow, but now I don't. It's cold and wet and makes your clothes all soggy . You have to put so many layers on just to go outside

I have winter depression myself. Sometimes I wonder if my younger brother regrets making fun of me when we were kids.

@ Syrika: You may want to look up Taylor Davis on Youtube. Lot's of nice violin covers of video game soundtracks.

On an unrelated note, I've just started watching Black Sails. In the super-artsy intro bit at the start of each episode, you get a brief of glimpse of a giant octopus dual-wielding two cannons in it's tentacles. Nothing like that has shown up in the series itself yet, which makes me sad.

Lots of layers of clothes just to go outside? I remember having to do that as a kid, but I haven't had to do that in like a decade or more! It just hasn't been super cold out when it snowed. Not "snow pants" cold at least. Just a coat and that's all I needed.

I'm in school and we're discussing an article on the Scientific American. The article is projected really big up on the whiteboard. But there are ads and other articles on the side of the page, and one of the ads on the bottom is for what looks like a book that's called "Why is the [um, male body part] shaped like that?"
