If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Not killing the kids, just not having them. ;p

You're not gonna stop people from having kids or getting married.

Nor should you try, in my opinion. It's their decision, not anyone else's.

Sure, but it isn't as though it doesn't affect everyone else.

Does it?

I don't see how. I mean, kids, maybe. But there are plenty of jobs and industries that kinda require kids to exist, so not having them would be worse, in my opinion.

But I don't see how marriage affects anyone but the people getting married, and perhaps their family.

Right! With more kids there need to be more schools and more teachers and more other things.

Marriage is one thing, anyway. I'm typically for having that. But not using it. Because I'm like that. tongue

As for kids, they take up so much space everywhere.

It's not something you really can or should control on an individual level. But when you start dealing with populations (say, on a national scale), things like economics start coming into play, and it becomes valid to say "we are perhaps having too many babies", assuming you can back up that assertion.

Apparently you don't realize that our population issues are caused by the exact opposite of babies; seniors.

Judging from data I've seen all over the place, all of it points to the conclusion that the Earth's population will peak at 8 Billion, where a very significant fraction of the population will be over 60 years old, and then drop. Very quickly. Within a span of just 15-20 years from that point, at least a quarter of all humans will be dead from natural causes. That's something no baby boom can reverse.

So yes, it is kind of selfish to suggest that people should stop having kids altogether. People are already having much less than they used to.

Actually, it's far more complicated than that - there's entire lectures dedicated to this topic, and there's so many reasons involved that to sum it up to one is negligent of the others that come to it.

One reason for example is the issue of energy and water shortages which themselves have many reasons beyond what you may immediately think.

Well, if the point of the advertisement is to get more fans, but instead the only people who paid attention to it were already hardcore fans, then it is time to switch to better strategies.

I haven't seen an Amp commerical in forever, yet it's my go to drink outside of any dark soda. That could be due to an extremely mild caffeine addiction though.
