And I actually assumed Lion was a girl when I first saw him/her. Couldn't figure it out after they mentioned his/her ambiguous gender though.

Lion's gender is Lion.

I'm going to assume Lion is a guy because Kinzo has no problem proclaiming him his successor in this episode. But my does he look girly.

Personally, the Kanon/Jessica romance confuses me. Jessica never found it strange that she never saw them together?

Why would she think anything odd? Both of them are technically servants, they have busy work schedules. If she saw one, it's easy enough to assume the other is working elsewhere.

Also, the Kanon/Jessica romance wasn't really much more then a basic teenage attraction, it hadn't really grown into anything else. (Which is why Kanon lost the love duel) So it wasn't like she went out of her way to spend tons of time with Kanon.

Everyone on Rokkenjima is frikking delusional for not having noticed that Kanon and Shannon are the same person.

Yeah, but never seeing two people who are supposed to be close together? And not finding it suspicious? Especially when they would always be on duty at the same time.

I am, of course, assuming that she didn't know. Do you think that's a fair assumption? I assume nobody but Kinzo, the older servants and possibly Krauss knew.

Don't forget that they managed to make most of them think that Kinzo was still alive for at least a year after his death.

It's likely something nobody ever thought about. I mean, let's face it. "Two people are really the same person" is kind of a wild and crazy thought to make in real life.

...The island is full of idiots? I imagine the other servants from that orphanage probably knew. Runon etc. Only Gohda seems to have been entirely unaware.

^ Yeah but 'Hey, why do I never see you together with your sister/brother that's not related to you and yet looks so much like you?' is a natural thought. Especially when Jessica seems to have spent a lot of her time thinking about the pair.

Faking Kinzo's death is at least more plausible than having one servant act as two separate entities and go unnoticed for three years.

Jessica's romance kinda bug me. Or, to better say, the fact Shkannon s fooling people for full 2 years kinda bug me. I mean, it shouldn't be too hard to fool Krauss, because he is a moron, and Gohda, because he is kinda of a dick, but I realy don't see Natsuhi falling for it so easy. And, of all regular people from Rokkenjima, Natsuhi would be certainly the last to tolerate such absurd, so I really think she never knew. Oh, well.

Where you are Arha? Do 'new information' start to be revealed yet?

Natsuhi avoids the servants, thus Jessica would probably be the most likely to find out. Krauss might have been simply told who Shannon was. I assume that Genji, Kumasawa and any other servants as old as them do know. Probably Nanjo as well.

And uh currently they're debating whether to embezzle the gold or not. I assume everyone is about to kill each other over it with only Beatrice and Kinzo surviving.

Gasp. Lion is the child of ingenue Beatrice and Kinzo and was the body that fell off the cliff. I never saw it coming.

I'm not quite sure whether Lion is supposed to be Shannon or not. I'm thinking no and instead his death just destabilized Kinzo even more and made him write the epigraph after babbling about witches and curses and stuff. But then I realize Lion doesn't recognize Kanon or Shannon.

You know, either you are reading slower today or this part is much longer then I remember.

I'm not reading that much today. I'm just not very interested in what seems to be confirmation of some of my theories and apart from that a story without most of the cast I actually like.

Guess that settles who the Stakes are based on.

Ah, well, yeah, Ep7 is kinda like this. Guts exposing and all. If you keep reading the exposition will become a less obvious, I guess.

And then there will be the (very long) Tea Party. Which is awesome.

Oh, wait, you are on Yasu's backstory already. Please refer to her/him as "Yasu', not 'Lion'. They are too much of different people.

Hm, among the main cast of humans... Yeah, mostly. I dislike then less, though. I still like Natsuhi and I kinda like Kyrie now. The rest of them are kind of disliked or dismissed.

^ I wasn't referring to... Yasu would be 4th games Beatrice then? Anyway, I wasn't referring to Yasu until now except that I thought they might be the same person but based on different upbringings. I don't think I've ever called Lion Shannon or Kanon except when voicing my thoughts that they might be based on the same person.

I mean, I thought either way that Yasu or Lion would be the baby knocked off the cliff but wasn't sure. I knew that Lion was and I've theorized that Shannon was as well but...

Ah, my mistake then. Since you are at Yasu's story I thought you were talking about her (since Lion and Yasu are explicitelly the same person).

Yes. Beatrice with greenish white hair showed up with the ambiguously gendered demons. The story is on that segment now.

Ah, okay then, they are the same person just raised differently.

I think I'm going to quit reading for now. This is clearly the beginning of the second arc and I have to get up at a normal time tomorrow.
