Skip to about 9 min in, that's when Doremy's mid-boss part starts.

Her non-spells tend to be extra twisty versions of Aya's, I notice.

In other news, I really thought Lord Commissar was pushing it as a title, but the Brits never fail to prove me wrong.

So I *DAKKADAKKADAKKA* just got back *FWOOOOOOSH* from Mad *carstab* Max. You should go see it, if only *blind suspended guitar riff* to see the orkiest humans this side of Digganobz, even if they *BOOMBOOMBOOM* dress like spikepanzees, act like spikeboyz and keep pronouncing it "WAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!".

For once, a decent subbing job: the Wartrukks Rigs are known as Warbringers.

So I admit I only looked at this because I thought I would find the link between the two, then I read his life story. Damn.

Mad Max genuinely is the closest we'll get to seeing Ork trukks on screen, I think. tongue

Not sure what kind of high you can get from spraying the stuff directly in your mouth though, I thought you needed a paper bag.

Funny thing is, I already had a mission in mind (before seeing the movie) that would fit in quite well, now I'll be able to replace thousand-word descriptions with a single image link.

Breaking news!

There has been a huuuuuge upset in the 11th Touhou popularity contest, an annual event held by the Japanese Touhou Wiki. Koishi Komeiji has blasted to the top and dethroned Reimu Hakurei as the most popular Touhou-character! Reimu's drop to second place is a dramatic change as she's been in first since 2008!

Other notable changes is that Youmu and Mokou have climbed to 6th and 8th respectively, which means that Mokou is back in the top ten after dropping off in 2011. Alice Margatroid is also in the top ten...barely! The dollmaker's popularity has been falling steadily the last couple of years, but she's hanging on in tenth.

Meanwhile, Tenshi has risen 4 places to 13th, newcomer Kokoro is in a strong 14th, Reisen Udongein Inaba has rocketed to 16th, Yuuka is plummeting to 18th, Kogasa has climbed to 20th, Renko is speeding up the ranks to a 22nd, Utsuho is at her second-lowest ever in 24th, Byakuren has taken a hit and dropped to 26th, Seija has made a leap to 27th, Nitori has dropped to 30th despite the new fighting game, Ran has dropped all the way to 36th and joined by Cirno in 37th and Kaguya has lost 10 places and is now in 39th.

For the full rankings, see here.

What can we deduce from this? Well, Urban Legend in Limbo, the latest fighting game, has had interesting effects, to say the least. Aside from Koishi taking first place (from a third last year), there is negligible increase to see in the playable characters, with Sumireko Usami entering at a humble 47th (which will probably change as fanon starts appropriating her). However the implications of Sumireko's involvement with the Music CD-only Renko Usami may have been what boosted Renko up 15 spots to a very respectable 22nd and her friend Maribel Hearn up 11 to 51st.

Meanwhile, in the separate music poll, there is another huge upset to announce! Septette for the Dead Princess, Remilia Scarlet's final boss theme has also been dethroned from the first place it's occupied since 2009! It's now U.N. Owen was Her, Flandre Scarlet's EX boss theme that has taken back top position, last held in 2008.

Worth of notice is that Hartmann's Youkai Girl (Koishi's EX boss theme) has risen to third, Inchlings of the Shining Needle ~ Little Princess (Shinmyoumaru's final boss theme) has risen to a strong 5th, Reach For the Moon, Immortal Smoke (Mokou's EX boss theme) has jumped to 6th, Satori Maiden ~ 3rd eye (Satori's boss theme) has dropped off the top ten to 11th. And a personal favourite, Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion, is plummeting to 23rd.

So on the music front, we can see a distinct influence of the fighting game bringing back old themes, even though the introduced themes are struggling. Again, susceptible to change as the fandom gets to work. Special notice goes to Inchlings of the Shining Needle ~ Little Princess for rising to a 5th from 7th while Shinmyoumaru herself is struggling in the character polls.

So yeah, that's been your yearly update from the popularity contest!

... Koishi?

Let's see how danbooru's handling it... Yep, pretty much what I thought it'd be.

(What are you complaining about, you old hag? You keep telling people you're 17, now youohgodnoaaaaaaiiiiieeeeeee

I'm surprised, I'd have thought UN Owen was always on top.

So are Reimu and Koishi, and look at how they're reacting.

Random thought of the day (which may or may not have occured while contemplating the futre of Australia): If becoming a Space Wolf is the Fenrisian version of Valhalla (fighting and feasting forever), what do the Space Wolves think happens when they die?

... So it turns out Complexity Addiction really does exist in Real Life. You may remember I told you my brother wanted to get married? Well get this: he met his girlfriend while studying in the US (she's Chinese), and so goes for the PERFECTLY LOGICAL solution of having three ceremonies: one in the US, one in France, and one in China. So far, so good, with around 60 people just for the one in France. Except that having spent a week or two in China to meet the inlaws, he's suddenly decided that it would be perfectly boorish of him not to invite her extended family to the wedding in France instead of just her parents. Again, reasonable enough... except none of them speak English. The only person available for translation duties on this most stressful HAPPIEST of days... will be the bride.

This, I foresee, will not go well.

Oh yeah, that's Wakasagihime, one of Gensokyo's mermaids. She lives in Misty Lake (foot of Youkai mountain, with Scarlet Devil Mansion on a ridge nearby).

It's not explicitly stated either way. I do believe the implications lean towards there bing other mermaids. Though going by Sakuya's route I think they're rare.
