I realise that you have not given the go-ahead for an Inquisitor, but I am posting a signup for you to consider. If you do not like the Idea, then a raven guard of any rank would be a close second for me. Anyways, Here goes:

Name: Van der Graaf Gender: Male Description: He is a fairly stocky with a hight of 5'9. Species: Human Affiliation: He is an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos. Equipment: He wears a suit of modified power armor, which includes a wrist mounted bolt pistol (similar to that of a grey knight, except not a storm bolter), a lightning claw, and he has a book of psychic powers. Powers: He is a very weak psyker, being able to increase his strength a small amount, and send messages over long distances. Background: He was inducted onto the black ships when he was a small child on the planet of Krieg. From there, after many years, he was recruited as an Interrogator by Gideon Ravenor, staying with him for a few months before being passed on to train under a different Inquisitor. He finally achieved the rank of full Inquisitor in the year 24 of the 42nd Millenium. Timezone: GMT

Thanks

The problem is, of course, where we would fit him in. There are several Cast Herds, one of which has two Inquisitors already, one of which contains a powerful Blank, and the several smaller ones get little screentime.

Malleus, Xenos, and I think at least one Hereticus.

Arcturus is Malleus (I think) as was Zee. Thomas and Angelus are Xenos. Lord Inquisitor Bickerstaff and Inquisitor Branquignol are Hereticus, as is Inquisitor Cross. Various other Inquisitorial side-characters are belonging to various orders, including one Ordo Sicarius.

Essentially, it's a fairly even spread. But the Hereticus people have no problems beating up aliens, and vice-versa.

Wait, Ol' Daddy BickerstaffTM is Hereticus? I could've sworn he was Malleus.

I never explicitly pinned it down. If it makes more sense as Malleus, I don't particularly mind.

While I'd assume that I would be with the group that does not contain the blank, due to being psychic, but otherwise, I am ver flexible as to where I am. I don't mind little screen time, as I do not have much time to post.

Well, both Team Bickerstaff and Team Cross makes use of blanks, so ouchie factor for Van der Graaf if he joins up with either of them. Team Arcturus is already pretty saturated with characters (If we count in Remilia and her companions on that front). You could make him an independent character and involve him in events as you please.

Making him an Independant character sounds fine. Where will he join in?

Perhaps as an attaché to the next mission our characters happen to venture upon, without being a permanent part of any team?

Okay, first draft up!

  • Name: Alexei 'The Tinkerer'
  • Gender: Male
  • Description: Alexei is tall for a Space Marine, standing a full head above most Marines, a slight mutation of his implants which caused it. His hair has long since fallen out, leaving him bald. His eyes are notably brilliant green, often shining out from the darkness. His face is battlescarred, but since he rarely ever takes off his helmet, its not often seen. His skin is very pale from the lack of light, but that is to be expected.
  • Species: Adeptus Astartes
  • Affiliation: Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marine Legion, Warsmith
  • Equipment: Alexei is noted for wearing Mark VI power armor, but with a Mark III Helmet. The most notable things are the modifications he has made to his power armor, as it is noted that usually you cannot combine VI and III armor pieces. Mounted to each side of his helmet are extra sensors and targeting scopes, resting level with the helmets eyes, giving it the appearance in combat of having four eyes. These extra sensors feed targeting data not only to Alexei, but to his forces as well, allowing the Warsmith to call in extra firepower wherever he looks. These sensors also target for Alexei's personal weaponry. Each paldron has been extensively modified, and notably lack the usual chaos icons as there is no more room. Alexei has added a pair of servos to each paldon, and attached a bolt gun to each Servo, each weapon being fed from its own drum magazine. Firing together, they act as a Combi-bolter but leave his hands free for other weapons or devices. As a Warsmith, Alexei also has an added backpack, which includes Servo-Arms. Taken from the corpses of several Imperial Techmarines, they are trophies in addition to being functional. Having a total of four, one over each shoulder and one from each side, Alexei earned his nickname of the Tinkerer from his extensive mods to each. The ends of the Servo-Arms are now removable, allow Alexei to fit them for ether mechanical work, close combat, or ranged combat. Each arm can be fitted with a Plasma Gun, Flamer, Meltagun, a heavily modified Power Sword, or a Diagnostic tool/repair cutter. While he doesn't carry all these weapons into comabt at once, Alexei makes a choice of weapons before a mission and carries them into combat. He can't switch them out unless he returns to base or a vehicle carrying them. The plasma guns are his usual choice for ranged combat unless he runs into the damn Grey Knights, in which case he'll be packing four Meltaguns. The unique thing about his Servo-Arm backpack is that it is a bit more bulky than a usual one, and is ejectable. By fitting special sockets into it and into black carapace, Alexei can eject the Servo-Arm backpack if it becomes a liability. As it fits around his normal power armor backpack, and is not directly part of it, it is bigger than normal. As for personal weapons, Alexei carries an Ether Lance, using it in both hands rather than just one. Being a Daemon weapon, he exercises control over it, as it kinda does have a mind of its own if he lets it loose. The Lance is a gateway for Warp Energy, allowing Alexei to surprise his foes with a barrage of Warp Energy or running them through in close combat.
  • Powers: Alexei is not a Psyker, but he has considerable experience in dealing with them, given his age and combat record. He has also found ways to defend his mind against attacks, jamming any interference with random images and data.
  • Background: Alexei is not the most infamous Warsmith of the Iron Warriors, nor the first. He's just the one who's held the rank the longest. While others fall or ascend to Daemonhood, Alexei stubbornly remains Astartes, allowing him to wage war against the Imperium easier. Not that much is well known in the Imperium about his beginnings, as his records were lost when their home world suffered. But a few details are well known. Alexei is...amazingly...polite. He does not rant and rave, scream out his dedications to Chaos. He is quietly confident. Which is all the more unnerving if all one has encountered is the usual screaming Chaos Heretics. The few surviving records do paint a disturbing picture, in that it is known he studied on Mars itself before the Heresy. The idea of a Chaos Warsmith with that level of knowledge is unsettling, because he uses it often. During a battle where he was engaged in personal combat by several Space Marines, it was noted that he did not curse them or insult them. In truth, a recording survived that stated if they had the courage to come and face him, the leader of this army of Iron Warriors, backed up by Regiments of Tanks and thousands of Slave Infantry, he at the very least could be polite about it. The fact he did kill them, and left the bodies behind, save for one detail, was also interesting. He had their geneseed removed, doubtless to use for new recruits in his own Grand Company. Now he has taken a personal interest in those beings from Gensokyo, as they can produce abilities and firepower that he feels would serve greatly the Iron Warriors. As such, he has set out to capture and study any of the beings he can capture, taking along a retinue from his Grand Company, which was in the stages of rearmament.

And here's my Imperial Character.

  • Name: Sister Jaina
  • 'Gender: Female
  • Description: Jaina wears the power armor of her Order, ivory white with black trim and red inlaying on specific details. Is is notable that the picture provided is not 100% accurate. The Order of Sacred Duty lacks the belt and symbol of the Inquisition, as well as the front part of the skirt, only having the back part which encircles the waist. When out of her Armor, Jaina is noticeably skinny, with short white hair (apparently a result of being too close to an exploding heretic tank) and bright blue eyes. Since she always wears her helmet, she doesn’t have the massive collection of scars many battle sisters acquire during their service.
  • Species: Human
  • Affiliation: Adepta Sororitas, Order of Sacred Duty
  • Equipment: Jaina wears her power armor as normal, and used to have the standard Godwyn-De'az Pattern Bolter, but it was destroyed early on during the conflict on the planet Gowl during an ambush. As such, when the group of Sisters fell back into the Shrine for cover, Jaina was only left with her chainsword for a time. Until more of her fellows started falling in combat, and she reclaimed their weapons to use on the enemies of the Imperium. Eventually, when she was the only one still standing, she manned a heavy bolter to hold the only way in or out of the shrine, defending it against the heretic forces that wanted to claim the Sister's power armor and holy weaponry. Upon her rescue from the Shrine by Inquisitors Arcturus & Bickerstaff, Jaina chose to bring her Canoness' personal weapons with her, not wanting to possibly have the rare weapons taken by Heretics. As her Order had standing tradition of never letting those two weapons be left behind in combat, it helped her conscience that she was taking weapons from the dead. The two weapons her Canoness carried were a a Mars Pattern Inferno Pistol, an extremely rare weapon by any standards, and a Blessed Blade of Admonition (which resembles a regular power sword except in its finish, which literally could be used as a mirror and its white inlaid grip), both of which has been in the Order for centuries. Whenever a Canoness fell in combat, it was the duty of any sister nearby to return the weapons to the Order. So Jaina takes up this duty. She also recovered a Flamer from one of her Sisters and carried that into combat, not wanting to just use the Inferno Pistol for ranged combat. She had to leave her chainsword behind, as carrying it was a bit much for her. She also packs Frag Grenades as a matter of course.
  • Powers: Jaina, thankfully, is not a Psyker of any sort.
  • Background: Jaina, like all those in her Order, was an Orphan taken in by the Order, when both of her parents, serving in a mixed gender regiment, were both slain by Heretics on a planet long forgotten in the Imperium's Bureaucracy. As with many Adepta Sororitas orders, the Order of Sacred Duty is mostly Military oriented, destroying the Imperium's Enemies wherever they are found. The Order of Sacred Duty is not based on any one world, but instead is ship based, traveling on a single vessel to wherever their assistance is needed. Small groups do leave the ship, from time to time, on different missions, and the one Jaina left on was no different. Her small group had traveled to the Gowl system, led by their Canoness to ensure that the Emperor's word was being spread properly. They were led into an Ambush. When the Great Enemy's forces descended on the planet, the small group of fifty Battle Sisters held the line to the best of their ability, but they were forced back, carrying their dead until they holed up in a Shrine to the Emperor, marking it as their last fallback position. Unwilling to hand it over to Heretics, they made a fight of it. Everything went well until Canoness Alexandria was struck down by a Traitor Space Marine. That marine died pretty much right away when the surviving twenty Sisters focused all their fire into him, blowing him to bloody shreds. But the damage was done. Without the Canoness, the Sisters Moral went into freefall, but they held the line, unwilling to allow the shrine to fall. But their numbers thinned, from twenty on down. Eventually, Jaina realized that the only one still left alive was herself, her last fellow Sister blown to bloody bits by one of the damn drones which had been circling the area. The shrine was located underground, deep in one of the hab structures, and they had been covering the door with the heavy weapons taken from their fellow sister's corpses. So Jaina manned a Heavy Bolter, and waited to see what Plans the Emperor had for her.

Oh, neither your eyes nor your mind deceive you in the least. We have multiple trope pages, and two different threads in the discussion section.

The old game's thread is still in Roleplay, if you care to read it. Beware the first ten pages, though.

Alright, Some Guy, some things for you:

One, most of our main cast is on a mission to rescue top government officials aboard a luxury resort space station held by Orkz.

Two, do you have a grasp of the events which led up to the present? Come to that, are you aware of the current state of affairs?

Three, I would strongly advise you make an original character.

And four... Have you spoken with Lemurian?

@Two: I just skimmed through the summary given in the Discussion thread, and all I know is that The Imperium of Man arrived on Gensokyo to purge the so called 'heretical' witches. Later on, other factions arrived, starting with Chaos, Orkz, Eldar and many others. Gensokyo, Imperium, Tau and Eldar made an alliance, only for the Eldar to stab them in the back(correct me if I'm wrong), the Tyranid Hive was on Reimu's Shrine, the war continues and so on and so forth. Finally, Gensokyo was safe from the threats and have been given freedom to rule on its own without the Imperium's interference. (Or at least, that's what I THINK I heard from the summary of the very first RP of this series)

As for the current events, nope. But I think I do see some stuff about 'Danmaku Mass Production' and weapons and armors being turned into Youkai while skimming through the RP's Trope Page.

@Three: Don't worry, I was already planning to RP as an OC from the beginning tongue I just needed to figure out what to RP as...

Say, other than the occasional youkai/fairies/Inquisitor/Guardsman/etc. OCs, are there any new types of character allowed in the RP that I should be aware of?

@Four: Not yet.

Lemurian from Touhou fanboy attic Since: Jan, 2001 Relationship Status: Buried in snow, waiting for spring
#225: Mar 24th 2013 at 3:49:15 PM

Heya, I'm Lemurian. I'm kinda in charge of a major part of the Touhou section of this crossover.

The most important things to note are these: Gensokyo is now officially part of the Imperium, but they are granted a large part of leeway because of the deals made at the time of the alliance between Gensokyo, the Imperium and the Tau; Byakuren Hijiri is the Imperial Governor of Gensokyo, but she's currently recovering from a terrorist attack; Remilia Scarlet is an Imperial Inquisitor, and Sakuya and Flandre are her acolytes, but she herself used to be an acolyte under Inquisitor Arcturus until very recently; the Fairies are now united in a collective consciousness called The Song, which is led by Sedna, who was once Cirno; the Human Village was destroyed, but was rebuilt at the edge of a large crater that is now a lake; Gensokyo is exempt conscription to the army, but magicians have volunteered to join the Cloaks, the special unit for Gensokyo magicians in the Imperial forces, and also the Oni have been renting out large groups of fighters as mercenary Stormtroopers; and the surface of the Moon was completely eradicated during the War, the Lunar princesses are dead and the surviving Lunarians and Lunar Rabbits are now governed by the Tau.

...that should be all the major things, but if there are any more things that become relevant while you sign up/play, we'll keep you informed. Please don't hesitate to ask.

As for new types of characters, feel relatively free to construct new Youkai while creating your OC; as long as it fits with the nature of Gensokyo, anything goes. Thus far we've only been making Youkai out of "real" Youkai from mythology, Japanese animals and Imperial weapons and equipment (these have been tsukumogami, like Kogasa). For more Imperial-themed characters, please consult the Imperium-players.

...that's all I can think of right now. Any questions?
