^^ Actually, you cant throw a rock without hitting some celtic fantasy. Might be a 90's thing though.
I'd love to see a Disney musical on th Epic of Gilgamesh, would be fantastic.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntAncient Rome would be nice, since they already did ancient Greece (Hercules).
Legally Free ContentAnd you call yourself Irish...
The names are actually quite easy to pronounce if you know Irish pronunciation rules, which look weird at first glance but are actually very consistent and have a strong internal logic.
By the way, I'm actually Irish, and I don't want Disney to set a movie here because I know they'll completely bugger up the mythology and the country.
Ukrainian Red CrossWell, it would be pretty difficult to play The Dagda and The Morrigan straight while maintaining a G rating...
Stuff what I do.^ Have faith. They pulled off Frollo.
“Love is the eternal law whereby the universe was created and is ruled.” — St. BernardA Disney version of the Sengoku era of japan!
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!^ I would want Disney to stay away from Japan, because there's already a huge industry devoted to producing animated Japanese fantasy for audiences of all ages.
Let's see something that's not already extremely common.
“Love is the eternal law whereby the universe was created and is ruled.” — St. BernardVietnam, anyone? But I doubt that they'll make it like China...
Bite my shiny metal ass. That's just a fact of life. Disney only cares about the exotic aesthetics; if they tried to take any of the substances seriously, it would either raise the movie's rating too much or it would at least make people uncomfortable with values dissonance.
Legally Free ContentI think I said this already, but I would love a Disney movie set in Norway. There's plenty of Norse mythology for it and Norway is an under-loved country as is.

We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.^ ...Yeah, but it'll never happen. They hate meatcakes.
^^^ I think people already screw us over with stereotypes and generalizations, I don't think Disney can do much more but yeah the idea of it being set in Ireland would be kind of awesome
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared to not only retract it, but also to deny under oath I ever said it.Also, I vote multinational- Next Disney movie NEEDS to be The Life And Times Of Scrooge Mc Duck.
YES! That's gonna be AWESOME!
Bite my shiny metal ass.A folktale adaptation taking place in New England, United States.

Mexico!! not hollywood mexico...
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Something old, scandinavian and whatsuch.
Egypt!
A Viking princess would be awesome, but How to Train Your Dragon has a monopoly on all things Viking at the moment.
I was under the impression that Disney was moving away from the Fairy Tale/Princess movies because they didnt reach a large enough demographic? Forgive me for being unable to provide the article I read (Im behind the firewall from hades)but if you do a search for "Disney to Move away from Fairy Tale Movies" you will get some info.
Reguardless I would like to see them delve more into American legends. There are plenty to look at from all of the cryptozoological critters running around to the tall tales of the old west. I realize they have done these before to some degree but a rehash might be interesting.
Ancient Scandinavia, please. And at least get the costumes right.
Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Itd be interesting to see them tackling a Biblical story, though Moses has been done before by Dreamworks. The story of Purim could be interesting, as we'd get Disney's first Jewish princess! Well, queen, but you know they'd princessify her up
I'm probably forgetting something, but have they done turn of the century America yet? That could be interesting.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!Lady And The Tramp, technically. (I assume you mean the turn of the 20th Century.)

Stuff what I do.Ahh, I haven't seen it much, if at all, since I was a kid so I forgot about it. I was thinking something more like Ragtime, that really puts that setting to use.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake! You know how on some Disney movies, they get an outside artist to help define the look? Like Gerard Scarfe on Hercules and Mike Mignola on Atlantis? The Disney style is there, but the artist gives it a unique twist?
Eiichiro Oda, on a Japanese folk tale. Like Tokoyo or Kintaro.
We're also LONG overdue on an Egyptian story. Hopefully they'd adapt an ancient piece of literature rather than graft a Western story onto the setting, like they were planning on doing for "Kingdom in the Sun".
A Russian story would be awesome too. I'd love to see a Disney animated Khoschei the Deathless.
I'm guessing that's probably because a lot of it espouses very different values from the ones that came to dominate Europe during the relevant period of codification. Also, no one can pronounce the names.
Stuff what I do.
