Will Togashi get to 370 before the Hiatus X Hiatus comeback?
Mileena MadnessAll we can do is pray.
Don't jinx it.
Welp so much for Momoze. I thought she'd be one of the more important ones but apparently not. Although something seems a little fishy about her death... Needless to say, her mom is a total bitch. While it was clever to concentrate more real guards for Marayam and get the spies to incriminate themselves, sacrificing her other kid to do it is really fucking low.
I wonder if Kurapika's nen proliferation plan is going to bite them in the ass. Arming the other princes and bodyguards is a good gesture to prove he and Oito don't even want to fight, but some might take it the wrong way or just consider it stupidity they can exploit.

New chapter out.
All that life energy lost, for nothing. Except it doesn't really feel like a loss. Big whoop. At least Woble's mom can use Nen now.
I kinda does feel like a big loss, though. Oito's eyebags look terrible and Kurapika's posture also felt very shaky. They are both in a very vulnerable condition as far as I can tell.
He's lost five years now. Which doesn't mean anything on its own, but it's clear that he's not in the best condition and if he keeps up these mistakes it's entirely possible that he'll die from this ability within this arc. Personally I have some faith in Togashi to make this restriction more interesting than it usually is. We'll have to see though.
I'm really liking Oito as a main character for this arc though. She brings a different perspective that isn't being portrayed as simply "weak". She reminds me of Komugi in that sense, and I expect she'll end up just as important in the long run.
Oito might be weak, but she's not passive. Good thing she has the wits. And she also has that surprisingly helpful maid.
I'd love to see a Togashi-esque spin on the Cast From Life Span trope.
Looks like Bateman really did learn Nen recently since he thinks two ordinary guards can kill Nen users.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Hiatus x Hiatus
Mileena MadnessOh well, we knew it was coming. At least we got a full volume out of it.
He does tend to make sure we get a volumes worth of manga at least during most of his Hiatus x Hiatus.
Now he'll redraw it all to look better.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.New chapter out.
It was nice not getting to know you, Mr. Casualty.
Geeze, Silent Majority seems like a really nasty ability.
So I know that this series is famous for its long-ass hiatuses. So my question to this thread is: is the current final episode of the anime a decent breakoff point? Does it end in the middle of an arc? Is there some ridiculous cliffhanger or unresolved plot point that will bug me for months or years after I finish all the episodes?
IMO it's pretty satisfactory as a conclusion. It's a "and the adventure continues" type of deal. There are some loose ends here and there, but nothing that personally bugged me too much.

There are certainly unresolved plot points, but it was at the end of an arc and as natural a stopping point as one could hope for, all things considered.
Just finished episode 69 (heheheheh). I never cease to be amazed by Gon's Determinator moments. Idunno why, because determinators are a dime a dozen, but with Gon it just seems more...determinator-y.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! You know it always bothered me how Killua had no idea about Nen before meeting Wing.
Like, everyone older than him in his family can use it, and even Alluka manifested powers they had to recognize as Nen at like, what, four?
And I don't see them not telling him about it, when they have such high hopes for his future.

Especially when his little sister Kahlua already knows about Nen, so it’s not like the Zoaldyecks don’t teach their young ‘uns.
Pretty sure Kaluta or whatever there name is is a boy.
I can kind of give that a pass, because he might have learned Nen relatively recently like Killua, but even so, who did he learn it from? His family still seems like the most obvious answer.
Ah, good ol’ Viewer Gender Confusion in my Hunter X Hunter.
The Zoldycks have been said to have five "sons". Though Alluka is probably supposed to be transgender and older than Kaluta despite their behavior.
Due we know all the Zoldycks' Nen-types? Killua's a transmutter, Illumi, Milluki, and Kaluta are manipulators, Zeno seems to be an emitter.
But I don't think Silva or the mother have been clarified. I could see either emitter or enhancer for Silva. The mother (I'm sure her name has been mentioned but I can't think of it) is probably a manipulator given her sons have been mentioned to favor her more than their father.

Kaluto.
They are all Transmuters and Manipulators. Except for Maha who is an enhancer.
To be exact. White Hair Transmuter, Black Hair Manipulator. Kikyo has black hair under her hat and is a manipulator.

Yes, I looked that up. It's pretty fitting.
New chapter out. And one of the princes is out.
