More often than not they call for medic then whip it out just before I lock on to them. I had one do it just a millisecond before I ubered him for some goddamn reason.

I got back to this game for the first time in a long while, and I think what I love most is the random drop system for getting some relatively new weapons very quickly. I forgot how much I missed it.

Also, quick question: considering I'm a total noob who dies a whole lot and spends a lot of time on low heatlh, is the Panic Attack worth equipping on either Soldier or Pyro?

Right it's not that great as secondary, and works better as a corner ambusher. I expect at some point Valve will either cancel or reverse its spread increase.

So, considering the Pyro is already a good corner ambusher, it's better to have it equipped on the Soldier (if equipped at all, but I don't have any other secondary for Soldier), right?

Panic Attack is an odd weapon in that it requires a slightly different approach than most weapons out there, kinda like Beggar's Bazooka. If you are in need of reliable secondary, stock Shotgun is a versatile enough weapon.

That said, you are welcome to experiment with weapon combinations that you find fun and nice to use.

The Panic Attack is... well, shit. Just go with stock.

Would it be useful if it was a Scout Primary, do you think?

Probably not. Scout's strength is that he can jump in, pop a meatshot and jump right out. With PA you would have to load your shots before you spot your target/reach an effective shooting range, something that compromises his ability to reliably pick out Medics, Engies and such.

Actually, I've found the Panic Attack works pretty well with Pyro; fast switch speed, combined damage from it and afterburn, and close range guarantee at least a few kills with the Panic Attack as a Pyro.

By using it as a corner ambusher on Soldier, I can actually get a few kills with it. It's not a terrible option, even if it's usage is quite specific and it's not as versatile as the stock weapon. Mostly because you don't want to be firing rockets at the sort of range I'm using the PA at.

So, today, I opened a Nice, Naughty, and Supply Muntition crate (I needed to get a third key so it added up to more than 5 dollars)

Got a festive Bonk!, a Professional's Ushanka, both of which I already had, and a Stickybomb Launcher Killstreak Kit.

Think I could get a backburner killstreak kit for the one I found?

What does a killstreak kit actually do?

The basic one just counts how many kills you get with that weapon per life.

Higher grades get colors on the weapon and effects on your face when you get higher killstreaks.

Sounds cool.

I recently got the Bootlegger. Since I already have the Splendid Screen and the Persian Persuader, should I go for a complete Demoknight kit for the fun factor, or keep the grenade launcher for it's versatility and to make sure I don't have to be entirely melee?

Try both. There's nothing making you stick to one. Demoknight is better in enclosed soaces and KOTH, though.
