Wait a minute. Define "clear Jade Way". I defeated Charme, of course, but didn't bothered finishing the previous levels. More importantly, I haven't gone to the Boss Rush either.
Eh, tried to check wiki..."Nagi can be found randomly during dungeon trips after the 9th day (colored pink in the map). The current adventurer should collide with her so the dialogue starts."
So not so much finish Jade Way as getting into week 2 it seems...
Hate the random event of getting her though...consider that I really like to use her and want her ASAP...she's my favourite adventurer...

Give me cute or give me...something?She is my favorite too. That is why I want to get her so early. Also, she is the perfect adventurer to have the True Card. The randomness of her event means it is almost impossible to trigger get on purpose. Even late game characters can be recruited early if you know their events and have the dungeons unlocked, but she is a pain every time.
Hell, I gave up my previous loop because I wanted her True Card. When I noticed it would take some effort to get the 500k by the last day and I didn't have nearly enough adventures with her* I threw up the penultimate payment so I could restart and get her from the get go.
Damn, we feel for you but now you know what to do right? Right after the 9th day, just stroll in Jade Way and get her. You can ONLY encounter her once a day, and it takes 4 times, so that's 4 spare days
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Carpe Fulgur has definitely gone through the source code for this game.
We should get them to shine a light on the game mechanics. Or at least ask Easy Game Station for permission to do so.
We can always ask, if we are polite the worst they can answer is that they can-t explain the game mechanics.
Find her! Once! Yay!
Good to know it is once a day only, btw. I was hopping to try to unlock her in two days, but I guess this is not possible.
@Cassie: Wait, 4 times? I thought it's only 3 and the 4th is when she arrives at your shop! Man I really need to play the game again...
Also what's the chance of Euria normally selling fusion treasures? I kinda want to go NG+ to get some more reliable fusion treasure source...

Give me cute or give me...something?You need a really big budget then. Euria never buys, only scams. The only way to get her sell rarer loot is to have her hearts up. Near Pin her at around 350% percent and 325%
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...So I guess there's a reason her name is homonymous with a chemical compound found in a bodily waste product—that being that she pisses on your commercial establishment.
guh. finally got back to this game and bought a lot of stuff (roughly 100,000gp worth of stuff) expecting to sell it all back within time.
and then the entire day was spent buying things from customers. i think 3 out of the 20 or so people who came into my store actually bought something.
that was encouraging :T

thankfully the next day gets me...most of the money back.

i got to lvl20 a while ago and that unlocks a store expansion, but its been so long since i played i have no idea how to get it?

Talk to the merchant guy...make sure to have enough money...
Anyone here managed to crash a commodity price before?
Give me cute or give me...something?Crash a comodity price?
Basically sell one particular thing so much you force it into blue an cannot sell it anymore (even to market or merchant guild)
Give me cute or give me...something?Luckyly no and now that I knw about it I will try to not make that happen.
Yup. My Taiyaki vending machine is the reason for the Great Taiyaki Crah of '12.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenDoes anyone ever buy Slime Fluid?
Yeah, almost. I didn't know how crashes worked at the time, so all I sold when people asked for food was Melon, cause they're the most expensive food you can get from the stores. When it said prices for melons were falling rapidly, I stopped, and mixed up my food stock. Oh, and golden scales, one sale from a vending machine almost caused a crash, hilariously enough.
Caillou for one. Other than that, people don't really go for it. Oh, and if you want to boost customer budgets fast, sell items that have a +1 or whatever on the end. It increases the customer relationship faster.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I managed to cause a walnut bread crash without vending machine...I put some on display, and the rest of the sale is basically me cramming as much of em as possible into people's orders...
Give me cute or give me...something?The event in the dungeons where Nagi says she is going to the shop is the last time you have to find her in a dungeon?
I love some of the dialogue trees of this game:
Alouette: "It pains me to part with this! Hopefully it will make this place look less like a shanty!" While triyn to sell me a walnut bread
it was pretty funny when she said the same thing while trying to sell me an unthankful statue (you know, that crumbling statue? yeah.)
I was just pondering the economics of how the Recettear world works.
It seems that it doesn't make much sense that Recette goes into town to the Merchants' Guild to buy some stuff at wholesale prices to sell it again to townsfolk who buy stuff at retail prices. Maybe the townsfolk just enjoy spending money for fun, or something, but assuming some degree of normalcy, this doesn't make sense.
Though, on the other hand, if we make some assumptions, it might make more sense. Let's say that the Merchants' Guild, which doubles as basically the manufacturer in town, is not the place people generally want to go to get stuff. Normally, a wholesaler would be forcing retailers to buy in bulk, but obviously, that's not the case in Recettear, so we have to think of other factors. Maybe the items aren't well-labeled. Maybe it's hot in there, what with all the item forging. (Maybe it's just outside of town...but that wouldn't make much sense either since you can go to it and other stuff in one time slice.)
The way you can overcharge people, and the way you can't set fixed prices (excepting vending machines) seems like the townsfolk are willing to pay a surcharge for a nice shopping experience. Maybe this is more relevant when you have a less certain distribution of items in a fantasy-medieval/rennaisance setting perhaps all the stores are like this, and you can't count on getting what you want in any given store (let's pretend the lower-tier items in the Market and Merchants' Guild are not unlimited). This is consistent with their putting in orders for some days in advance. This is also consistent with their becoming more favorable to a store after they have more positive experiences shopping at it.
So basically, it seems that in Pensee, there is a significant transaction cost to searching/information-gathering, and rather than pay this cost directly (in money or time), people are willing to pay extra to go to a place that gives them certainty of a good shopping experience.
We can throw in the fantasy RPG assumption that people don't have a maintenance cost — i.e. they can just stick around in their houses for near-indefinite periods of time, but they do nevertheless have preferences — such as wanting to buy objects to decorate their houses and wanting to buy foods to enjoy, especially when they are hungry (which happens but does not result in malnourishment and starvation as quickly as it does in real life). They also have a budget that comes out of thin air, as decided by pre-game setting-determined circumstances outside of our knowledge. Their budget might vary with time, as demonstrated by their occasional need to sell sandwiches to pay other bills.
...
TL;DR: don't try to treat Recettear as anything near real economics.
I don't think you can buy merchant's guild stuff without being member, so it makes sense why most people would be shopping at Recette's shop...
Give me cute or give me...something?
Nah, Nagi can be found as soon as you clear Jade Way...Alouette event is just random unimportant (but amusing) one...
