Mashiro and Azuki finally go out together and find out they don't really have that much in common. They split up after thirty minutes.
That would be retarded. It'd ruin a good story.
ARCHITECT POWAHHH! Will soon be posting as 'Firebird'... [[http://tinyurl.com/ttwiktlk Wiki Talk SubforGetting an anime and marrying Azuki was one of their stated long-term goals. The others are to create the most popular manga in the world and decisively beat Niizuma (though achieving the former would automatically mean achieving the latter). Those have still got to be dealt with before the series ends.

The first is simply unattainable, and their rivalry with Eiji will never be settled for good. The only way we'll be dealing with that would be with a And the Adventure Continues end.
I want to see at least one last dramatic manga fight before they pull out And the Adventure Continues, though. :/

I guess they could while building up towards the wedding.
I know, that's why I suggested it.
<<Two-hundred thousands votes on the voice actress contest!? Either Japan doesn't have anything to do or there was some serious spambot work behind the scenes.>>
<<I think you're severely underestimating how much voice actors are celebrities in Japan... >>
<<Regardless, I'm glad that Azuki Miho won. It's surprising that she got such a landslide victory though... I assumed that the other actresses' established fanbases would have put up more of a fight.>>
<<This was far outside the usual seiyu fanboy circles. This was a mainstream story, and I can't imagine a set-up better designed to gather the sympathies of the Japanese. If Ashirogi had written a manga about it, I would have said it was unrealistically sappy. Most of the voters will probably never even watch the Reversi anime, they just wanted the storybook ending.>>
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.<<Japan is a silly place>>
Read my stories!New chapter is up.
Well said, Takagi. Well said.
Power to the writers!
My body can't take all the WAFF. And they're even getting married yet.
The thing with Mashiro asking Akito if he could lend him some money, their overall conversation with comments like they have about the same amount in savings "T-that much much!?", Akito thinking Mashiro wants to buy a house comparable to Miho's mansion.
Makes me think, their income is much higher than it's shown?
Remember, mangaka barely get any chances sleep, nor many days off, unless they have no work. In exchange, the pay for a successful one is really nothing to scoff at.
I wouldn't be surprised if Moritaka had a few million dollars sitting in the bank.
Yeah true, like Kentarou Miura who's pretty damn rich, but isn't above living as an ordinary otaku who just happens to be a mangaka.
I was just wondering because Ashirogi Muto didn't put out colossal hits, so I thought they would only be living off well, but not that well. Out of the main cast, it seems only Kazuya is showing off what a succesful mangaka can buy.

Of course they have a good income, they're popular manga creators. Given that they're generally in the top 5 range, they should be pretty rich. The irony being that they don't have any time to spend their money.
The new chapter's up.
That went pretty well.
I feel so foolish feeling incredibly happy for fictional characters. These darn Slice of Lifes.
My favorite part was seeing the fan reactions as they were reading the final chapter. "They're not ending it, this is Jump, pfft"
My favorite part was seeing all the other mangaka. Niizuma, Shiratori, etc. And of course Hiramaru's comment.
So, what's next? We'll probably get some explanations about the anime, then a chapter or two about anticipating and then finally hearing Azuki's voice, and then we have the marriage, then probably a relatively open ending that seems to imply that Ashirogi will continue making these "short but great" works. Maybe some WAFF chapters too.
Apparently, it'll only take 4 more chapters to fill volume 20...
Ok, assuming Bakuman is ending soon, what everyone opinion on it?
I write a longer one later, but here a thought - In the later arcs of Bakuman -the two Nanamine arcs & the whole Saiko & Azuki romance controversy felt unnecessary, and doesn't really add much. What are your opinion on it?
The romance controversy was actually a real big deal that we sort of expected to happen since day one. But I agree with you on the Nanamine arcs. Those were just blah. It brought up interesting questions, but they failed to deliver a satisfying answer to them.
Same here. I was actually okay with it the first Nanakins arc, but I felt it just dragged on with the second.
I don't think so. It's not like these were unknowns: they're the ones that were considered popular enough by the producers to even invite to the audition. Failing an audition isn't exactly a popularity boost. And most actors work on multiple series simultaneously so it doesn't indicate a gap in their schedule either.
