I just started reading X1999. Is it true that it never properly finished?

Think so, Lu. They more or less dropped it to start writing Tsubasa and xxxHolic.

Maaan, that sucks. Even worse because Tsubasa gets stupid over time, while X looks good...

I liked xxxholic more myself. I had no idea what was going on for the last, I dunno, dozen chapter of Tsubasa. xxxHolic also turned pretty weird though and had an unsatisfying ending.

I liked xxxHolic until they sunk Watanuki x Himawari (yeah, I like that couple and I hate shoehorned yaoi, even if it's mostly subtext-y). And they should've just ended it when Yuuko disappeared.

^ Neither pairing interested me, really. Yuuko was more interesting but I don't see how a real relationship could work. Apart from the whole 'she's dead, okay?' thing.

Started watching Gurren Lagan.

Definitely finding it to the weakest of Gainax' offerings, but still pretty fun.

But they killed Kamina literally less then a third of the way through? What? guy was easily the best thing in it. Even having been spoiled that he died, that took me well off guard.

Keep watching, the show starts off kinda weak but things really shine after the the first arc.

Mardock Scramble has ended, another Kodansha series. Ichiro Heian! ended in the same issue.

Not that I've actually seen the show... I just assumed with all it's fans it would be first by like seventy thousand votes.

It's Hyouka? That's weird... Maybe because it's Kyo Ani.

Sad that Eureka Seven AO didn't even chart...

Hyouka. I don't mind. I'm loving the show. Even if Fate/Zero is better so far, that's probably just because I've read the source material for that.

I don't mind either; all the top five anime are stuff I'm watching. And Fate/zero only lost by around 14 votes.

I'm not sure I buy most of the assumptions the linked article was making though.

But the raw data is interesting for my own speculation.

I'm only watching two things ( Hyouka and Accel World) on that list .

Watching Fate Zero, Sankarea and Nyaruko. Is Hyouka actually that good? I only heard people's impressions of the first episode and they didn't seem to like it.

It's very slice-of-life and slow-paced. Dialogue-heavy, too. I can see why people wouldn't like it. The first episode isn't exactly the best, but in my opinion, the second and third episodes are better.

Hyouka's all right.

I don't think it will live up to it's true potential but the quality is certainly good. It's just that I don't think it does enough that we haven't seen before.

I'm still waiting for it to get better but I don't think it will.

I think it'll get better after the promising third episode (Except for the mystery, which was kind of lame).

Kids On The Slope for me, in addition to Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals, Lupin The Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, and Eureka Seven AO (started alongside the original anime).

In other news, the dub cast for Planzet is out. *shrug* Yeah. ^^;

EDIT: Now here's something a lot more exciting — Gintama movie dub cast!
