That's fucking metal.
Okay. I'm interested in watching the Rebuild movies, but has never actually seen the series outside of about fifteen minutes of separated episodes in Shanghai a few years ago (oddly enough, the Chinese censors allowed that, of all things).
Should I, shouldn't I, and if I do, what should I expect?
An useless name, a forsaken connection.Holy SHIT THEY FOUND ADAM SECOND IMPACT IS GONNA HAPPEN IN A FEW YEARS SHIT SHIT SHIT HALF OF US ARE GONNA DIE!!!! I MUSTNT RUN AWAY TO THE HIMALAYA, I MUSTNT RUN AWAY TO THE HIMALAYA, I MUSTNT RUN AWAY TO THE HIMALAYA...
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?Should I, shouldn't I, and if I do, what should I expect?
Rebuild 1.0 is, essentially, an updated, slicked-up reworking of the first 5 (6?) episodes, so you won't really miss anything from the series if you watch it. Rebuild 2.0 is when major changes start happening, and from what I understand is when the mood starts turning away from the Grimdark that the series slipped into, although that may change when 3.0 rolls around. I'd say watch 1.0 for sure.

... Okay...
I just rewatched Eva for the first time in ten years, yesterday. I watched the original—no Platinum Edition, no Director's Cuts, and no Movies.
Eva... pretty much showed me what exactly is wrong with my life, everything I do, everything I believe. It was so simple too, but it took something like Eva to make me see it.
The only question that remains then, is, now that I see the problem, what am I gonna do about it? I'm guessing that's something I'll have to find out for myself.
And it just gets better from there!...so what did you see in it? Are we talking characterization themes, or plot themes, or setting themes, or what?
Set your problems on fire. Fire solves everything!
Fight smart, not fair. You've just discovered the true purpose of Evangelion. The whole anime is, in essence, Anno experssing his dissatisfaction with otakus and telling them to go fix their problems.
But, Evangelion is what turned me Otaku >.>
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityOh, irony. Never change.
There's a difference between "likes anime" and "likes anime to the point of having no future".

And it just gets better from there!Aww.
Yeah, I had a lot of that too. Seeing aspects of myself in these drastically flawed characters.
To read Nobody Dies, or not to read Nobody Dies? So different...

What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war. That's what I want to when I'm a creator. Just sow the seeds for years of Fan Wank. It lasts longer that way.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Hells yeah. Dance little fan-monkeys, dance for my amusement!
They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once moreYes, but it's so Super Robot-y, and I'm a bit of a purist in regards to Eva fic.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.I'm probably going to read it when I get a lot more free time...and when I get through my hideous pile-up of novels and anime and toku...
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!I'm reading it, and it's funny as hell. There's a few times when I think it went a bit over the top, but usually it's good. I like the Angle introductions and awesome!Rei (who for some reason reminds me of an original character of mine, exept 100% more crazy and awesome).
On the subject of crazy Evangelion fanfiction, I can name one fanfic author who's work is so grotesque, so vile, so psychotically insane, yet so comprehensive and technically skilled in its approach, that I'm afraid that even thinking about it too much will give me scurvy.
"Wax on, wax off..." "But Mr. Miyagi, I don't see how this is helping me do Karate..." "Pubic hair is weakness, Daniel-san!"That sounds fun! Link?

I think this is relevant.
I seem to call for a form of culture in which fiction would not be limited by the figure of the author.
