Lets be honest, it's still gonna look like PS 2 game for the most part. If their smart about their usage of PBR and lighting they could probably get something better out of it however, but the Nep games have never had good lighting so..... eh who knows.

Also, today I found that RB 2 and 3 had Retranslation patches, what a good excuse to replay the trilogy again

Yes, some people made a retranslation patch for both RB 2 and 3, since that they felt like the dialogue was bloated with memes and jokes (and other kind of dialogues) that werent in the original script

a lot of people like the English dub because of the memes, and feel the original dialogue is boring by comparison.

It's similar to the fan translation that made Kefka from Final Fantasy VI more serious because the translator preferred the villains to have serious dialogue, completely missing the point of Kefka.

If I'm playing Neptunia, I'm not playing it because I want a serious game, I'm playing it because the PSP just used a railgun to murder a giant slime dog while the Xbox laments not having a handheld console to do sister things with.

Yeah, the people who complain don't realize that Compile Heart over in Japan noticed that Re;Birth1 was different in translation and specifically went to hire the old guy so the translation would be more meme-filled. An interview revealed that filling it with memes was a decision from Japan after discussion with the localizors at NISA.

I also very much don't get the people who claim they legitimately don't understand what Neptune says.

It wasn't particularly badly received. But the Japanese side noticed something was "wrong".

This is why the people who made the retranslation, likely complaining about the localization, are laughable at best.

I see, did VII had the same Localization Team as RB 1 then? because it felt different than RB 2/3

They only brought the old guy in for 2 and 3.

Just start Megatag...holy shit it gets nutty right from the start...AWESOME compared to the pretty much plotless NepU! (though for some reason I find the combat to be a bit slower than that or Senran Kagura...weird)

One question tho: is there any way to set the initial camera height to be a bit above your character (like in NepU or Senran Kagura)? It's really annoying that the default angle just set it right behind your character and you pretty much can't see the ground in front...and since I'm playing on keyboard...moving my hand to the numpad every time is annoying.
