Has there been any news about a Rebirth 4 yet?

Man, Rebirth 4 could be such a nice surprise present

I don't think we'll get a Re;Birth4 for a while. It hasn't been too long since the PS 4 release, remember. They're still not even done giving us all of its DLC, I think.

Plus I think any PC version will be a direct port from PS 4, and therefore just be called Megadimension Neptunia VII.

I was wondering, are the Rebirth series alternate continuities separated from the original games, or just remakes (except Rebirth 1)

The stories of the other two Re;Births are identical aside from some additional content and some swapping around of Makers. The gameplay of mk2 was replaced with Victory's gameplay for Re;Birth2, Re;Birth3 changed the combat system a bit such that the systems differ from any other title in the series (though not majorly).

Plot-wise, though, they are the same games. The only one to be a full replacement was the first one, which is separate from the main continuity anyway.

Yeah Rebirth 2 and 3 are really just Mk 2 and Victory just different Makers and with Rebirth 3 they are all literally the same makers anyway.

Anyway man I forgot how great all the generals are in Noire are. Now that I am looking out for it they are extremely consistent with the franchises they are based off of, 90% of Ein Al's lines are Chuuni as all hell but have some basis from Final Fantasy. I really want a game where Noire wears that Blue Lightning Returns outfit in combat.

I find it rather ironic that Rebirth 3 is where the Makers (minus IF and Compa) receive the most development and screentime. And its also where IF and Compa receives the least.

So, I lost control of myself and bought Rebirth 2 and 3, as well as Action Unleashed, for Steam.

They were on sale.

Yes and no, it was all DLC really. The base game was completely focused on the CP Us like the original game.

^ That's my point. The game where they are Demoted to Extra is where they get the most attention.

They kind of zig-zag with the whole spotlight thingy every new game/spin off

I've finished the game, but what sort of info are you interested in? Interesting is subjective.

Well, im actually interested in characterization, the way most characters were portrayed in Victory/Rebirth 3 didn sat well on me

Honestly, at this point most of the characters have their... err... character pretty much set in stone. We're too far in for any sweeping differences. To my annoyance, Vert still does the whole Nepgear is her sister thing, despite this not being that Vert.

There are minor things, like Neptune actually being decently competent and some in-series shipping between Uni and one of the villains, but nothing much. Most of the characters are basically as you know them.

Arfoire and Croire garner even less respect than usual, though.

Not to any huge extent. I'm pretty sure that's an optional ending in mk2 and only wormed its way into the plot in V.

I don;t think it was a coincidence that Nepgear was sent to aid Vert with her part of Megadimension's second act though

I was trying to dance around mentioning that directly. But yes, after IF and Compa point it out, Neptune regrets the decision immediately.

So the normal Megadimension game is coming to PC? Not any updated remakes?

Yes. Because there is no remake. Remember, we got the game on PS 4 a couple months ago, this year.

Most of the DLC is quite cheap already. You guys have gotten no discounts on PC compared to PS 4 owners. That you play on PC and got a late port also does not entitle you to a DLC discount. The base game may end up a bit cheaper but that's it. You'll probably get the DLC all in one go instead of having to wait, though.
