And much greater endurance over long distances. One of the few land animals that can match humans in that regard is the dog, which is one of the reasons they were one of the first animals to be domesticated. Humans are also very resilient and capable of recovering from injuries like broken limbs than most animals are.
And, you know, being capable of higher levels of abstract thought than any known animal. There's that too.

I'm really not sure why you act like race is a well-defined term and of a clearly smaller scope than species. It's a general category, why arbitrarily limit its use to exclude other species?

Cats provide a good face pillow and chest blanket. They also poop in an easily cleanable place. plus they do their own thing most of the time while I do mine.
I've never understood cat person/dog person hostility. I like both.

I keep throwing food at my dog's face and she still has pretty terrible eye-mouth coordination. And that's a shorter distance even.
