Cosby may be guilty as sin for all I know, I'm just not comfortable with the tendency in our society for people to decide these things before the wheels of justice have had the chance to grind things out.

Like. You're supposed to use "alleged" all the time. They do this on the news all the time with high profile cases. I think it's to avoid legal liability, but still. It just seems the responsible thing to do.

I suppose I can understand this point of view.

That said, I'm rather uncomfortable discussing this on this thread, so maybe we should just drop it for now? Granted, I'm the one who brought it up, but only in relation to Homestuck.

Agreed. I wish we had some more effective laws about following these sorts of cases so that they don't release so much info about it until they've actually, you know, looked at the evidence. Yeah, he might be guilty, but figuring that out is what the trial is for. The other reason being that I'm sick about hearing about all this stuff.

You realize he's not on any kind of trial? He settled out of court, over the objections of some who had tried to come forward. The "court of public opinion" is the last stage of appeals here.

It's really a bizarre situation as far as I can tell. The allegations are all old news by now, but then Hannibal Buress started talking about it, and it just kind of went nuts.

It was a civil lawsuit he settled, in 2006. There were several Jane Does signing onto the complaint, some of whom are coming forward now.

Like I said, I really haven't been following this, like, at all. In general I'm pretty oblivious to anything "celebrity news" related.

@SSB 4: How's Kirby in the game?

The games only been out for a few days so it likely isn't very indicative of high level play, but currently he's smack dab in the middle tiers, at 26, above Mega Man, below Ike. He's making some quick gains though so he could be upper tier soon.

Man I love tiers.

Brother, I have chosen the Grass-Lizard because although while the Swampert is strong, it cannot be denied that the Mega is totes fucking rad.

Also, great minds think somewhat alike but on completely different scales and directions.
